3.15 relics...

71 crit on DRK....glorious.

People here complaining about the stats need to realize that this stats are perfectly valid once you take into consideration the other i210 options.

The "Bad" relics are only so because these classes already have good Upgraded Eso/Gordian weapon.

BLM's get CRIT/DET on their relic, because their alternatives already have CRIT/SS and DET/SS combo.
NIN's get SS/DET on their Relic, because their alternatives already have CRIT/DET and CRIT/SS.
DRG's get SS/DET on their relic, because therr alternatives already have CRIT/DET and CRIT/SS.
PLD already has a CRIT/DET option.
SMN same deal
etc

On the other hand, classes with shitty Gordian/Eso get amazing Relics. WAR, DRK and SCH come to mind.

And oh yeah.

I was hoping so hard the NIN weapon would be named Kannagi. I can't believe they actually did it. /cry

You know, when you put it like that, I'm "really" glad there are so little options. Next PLDS will get a spell speed weapon because all other stats have already been used *shiver*

It's not so much that as they don't tend to double up a particular stat pairing when there are multiple options for an item slot at a particular item level. Since there's usually only one "good" combination for each class, and we had two i210 weapons already, some of them were bound to be poorly itemized. They also have moved away from putting Accuracy on weapons, so there were fewer possible combinations.

I'd be very surprised if we're not able to customize them for the next stage.

It was actually 1 1/2 years after 1.0 launch. There was no new relic at 2.0 launch (except if you mean the Zenith upgrade)

About the fun content, many people gave it up after 1 week of Hamlet Defense without gettin a beastmen seal and only started it again after the grind got nerfed down in 2.0. Also, i wish SE would have not removed Ifrit (extreme) from the questline.

I'm not familiar with the anime connection personally. Kannagi was the final form of NIN's Empyrean weapon in FFXI.

Seems there are many people who thought relic weapon meant some kind of a god tier weapon that is always the best-in-slot option in any scenario. Relic weapons were never meant to be the best weapons, just alternative for those people who cannot clear the hardest content of the game for the top tier weapons. The stats of the upcoming tier of relics are purely based on combinations not already available on other item level 210 weapons. Relic weapons, even ones without optimal stats are still the best weapons for majority of the player base for now.
