i think the PS3 version was more like a promised fulfilled that Square made good on. i remember it being pushed back numerous times and for it to finally come out was pretty incredible. so, good on you Square, you did make it happen, and nobody will think worse if you end support anytime soon.

Yeah, I remember reading that a long time ago. Kinda unfortunate since the PS3 community helped this game shine, as many of them also bought the game on PS3 to have it on both systems.

Kinda suck, though, because this is following FFXI's footsteps; the game is being discontinued on PS2 and Xbox 360 in March 2016 (no longer get access to connect).

Are you only saying that because of FFXIV? With previous systems, no one really cared that PS2 was still going strong when PS3 released. Same with Nintendo's NES and SNES, for example.

Yeah, because the game was made with PS3 in mind. A horribly outdated console.

I don't think is has nothing to do with PS3 in mind. Some games load while you are playing.
