It's okay to ask for help if you find yourself leveling slow, instead of claiming borken-game.
The system is changed, but it is nothing new. The difference now is that when you go to level your second class, that class is not profoundly stronger than when you leveled your first class. Now, it is as if they are both your first class. This is what i expected.
So the way I see it, it's harder for older players to level up their low level classes than it was before, but it is no harder for a new player to level his first class. get what im saying?
Problem is, you guys aren't playing the one class that can take on mobs higher than themselves reliably:
GLADIATOR
Confirmed with a friend last night.
To be fair to the OP, I decided to try out exp at R1 on my fishing mule. He's got no dow or dol at all.
I'd say it is extremely difficult now if you have no cross class abilities to fall back on. Say you started LNC, and just leveled LNC, it would be brutal.
My advice OP, is to take a deep breath, and just buckle down and grind ur dow and dom classes to 15, then move forward with your main choice. Even at 50, any one of my classes would be very hard to play without cross class actions to depend on. The same is true, if not more so at low levels. With the stat adjustments (they aren't just to us, in case you didn't take notice) it makes low level battle way more difficult if you're doing your first job.
Started today from scratch, brutal isn't exactly the word I'd use for leveling LNC.Quote:

There is quite a bit of misconceptions here recently.
So does PUG just suck as a class then? Because I can barely get to a 3 Chain XP Chain without having to rest, and that only gives like 500 XP and it takes about 3 minutes >.>
EDIT: And the lodestone won't update my class :( I'm Level 15 now
i can see this being the case, in fact he is right. The first thing the game tells you to do is leves, and honestly mopst brand new players wont try to group up till around level7 or 10. Leves are very lackluster low level, and the exp is based on your level. you can only get chains for monsters your level or higher, and your base sp is based on your total to next level. Im not saying its impossible, but i think the average newb is going to end up getting pleveled from 1-10, because its way easier and faster than anything else by an insane amount. Gear is infact mmore important, so is optimal level gear, and to be honest, i dont think there will eveer be a lot of low level items in the market wards.
Of course, maybe they need to spend longer at lower level ranges, it was kind of insane before, but id imagine that being low level will probably be one of the most difficult times.
I REALLY want you to elaborate on that, detailed explanation type elaboration, as I just fought a ton of goats either at or one level above or below me and got from 20-23 in approximately 4 hours worth of grinding, barely any resting and a good chain every now and again
Nope, it's just people trying it out for themselves and realizing that what I say is accurate. New players definitely were hurt significantly by this patch. I really shouldn't have to be powerleveled to effectively get through the first 10 levels. Also, I still think you aren't being 100% accurate with your timetable on leveling. I've come at it from every conceivable angle and can't get anywhere NEAR level 10 in 2 hours. I've tried leves, I've tried behest, I've tried chaining mobs my level, I've tried just killing low level mobs as fast as possible. It just isn't happening solo. In a group, or being powerleveled sure. Lnc solo just doesn't have the recovery tools without cross class stuff like second wind.Quote:
