Not sure if serious... On the off chance it is, ignoring buffs and positionals seriously lowers your output, hell, the game tells you how much you will lose.

Monks still doing very high damage. I believe they're still the best.
as of current version:
1. Monk
2. Dragoon
3. Ninja
4. Summoner
5. Black Mage
6. Bard & Machinist
(against single target)
Yeah.... My rotations were not near perfect prior to 3.0, and I dread what my hot bar will be like once I finally get Dragoon to cap again. But at least it's given me some idea of where to begin. I agree that no rotation is perfect because every situation is different (skill too). Having some idea of where to start, dummy practice and then learning through experience on when to stop and change rotation patterns. Is a bit more important than just trying to maintain a single perfect rotation set. Knowing how to properly optimize rotations and CD on the fly is probably the only real hard thing to learn/do. Even though that can apply to almost any job.
As for GK's, I'm going use that as a baseline to redo my hot bar and get used to managing all that new stuff when I finally get back to the level cap. I'll just have to keep an eye out for other ways of using it aside from trial and error during content.
BTW, you wouldn't happen to know if Battle Litany is shared with Internal release by chance?
Only thing that annoys me is Blood of the Dragon, MNKs have ways now where they are able to get GL back a bit quicker so it isn't so bad also DRG need to go through a longer rotation in order to keep Blood of the Dragon. If you have Blood of the Dragon and the counter goes hit 7 seconds and you haven't started the combo (true thrust/impulse drive) might as well say you lost it and you better hope you didn't use blood of the dragon because if you did you now need to wait for the cooldown.
There are way too many phase transitions which lasts way too long, for example A3 the hand to tornado I went from 20 seconds down to 9 then I had to wait for the add but sadly spawned on the other side and now I lost it also I wish we had a stance which stayed on forever :P. Everything else is pretty simple but even if you say that I still encounter numerous bad DRGs who can't do DPS.
Blm is much harder and produces harder dps when played perfectly. Foes assumed obviously.
Drg is #1 in lol, a must have for the schadenfreude needed in all parties.
