Um, sorry come again? Your whole post was Totally off topic to what you quoted me for. and I played FFXI for 7 years I know what " looking for party" is like It wasnt easy, there were times I had to wait 12 hours for a party there, but I never once Complained to the DEVs that this isnt right blah blah, because its a Community problem. People mix up what's a community problem and whats the DEVs problems alot. The DEVs how so much to handle right now, Its not easy running an MMO, let alone an MMO that had a terrible Launch, and now these questions arises and shooting Yoshi-P in the Foot basically, when He's up Countless Nights Trying to get this game up to par for US, and not to mention letting us PLAY for FREE!!! I swear some people on here are So Arrogant its not funny at all.
That aside and I released my frustrations, Now I can say this with happiness and Collectiveness:
Yoshi-P and Team,
Your doing a Fantastic Job at Making this game better from Launch, you were given a Hard task in front of you " A Bad MMO to turn good and beyound" and to ME at least Your doing a Wonderful job. Yes There's Certain things I may have not agreed with you when things came to pass, but I learned to adapt, learn to love, Its your Game, your making it, You have the Wheel to this Ship. To some people your guiding them in the wrong direction, to some people they seem to not which way they want the boat to go, and other like myself like the direction its going.
Again this is Your Game make it the way you want it, with the help of " True Feedback" You can make this in the game we all will come to love. I respect you Yoshi-P for working on this game even on your Off-days, not alot of people appreciate all the hard work you put into this. So I say:
Thank you Yoshi-P and Team for all your hard efforts and determination!
Your Fan,
Starlord Ravine
Common Sense. It is so rare, that it is a superpower.
I'm not too sure about it 'clashing with the original games vision'.
From how I see it, Yoshi is turning FFXIV into an MMO with a totally different play-style from Tanaka's original intention. It's not meant to follow along with the original design, it's meant to change the whole thing into a completely different design that won't crash and burn like the original FFXIV incarnation did, just using the same game engine.
A bit like how Duke Nukem Forever was remade multiple times before it was finally released, and the same with Max Payne, Alien Resurrection and many other games. The only difference between FFXIV and these other games is they weren't released before they were rebuilt.
The way I tend to look at it in my frame of mind is that patch 1.19 isn't actually 1.19, it's 1.00 v2.
