Animations look stale and as they do in 3.0.
MNK looks better in my opinion.
Same as I feel with SCH/WHM.
Don't like WHM THAT much but their animations make me wanna max 60 more than I do SCH, that looks meh and I main SCH for now.
ITT: Opinions and things.

feels like all the works goes to some jobs while others *cough* bard *cough* gets another round of lame animations :(

Not sure if its actually better than say MNK or DRG but if nothing else its super fun to play even with mudra lags, also it wrecks faces in pvp no matter if your opponent is tank or caster all will melt in mere seconds.

I like it the best. You have melee, you have casting, you have utility... Well, that's SMN. Oh, you move faster too and have mudra lag.

There is truth to this topic. I noticed that you can actually do manual animations by moving your character certain ways in combination with one of the class's existing skill animations and it looks pretty cool. In example, during one of the skills if you jump while executing it it creates a very neat looking animation. Another one is by spinning your character during mid animation and it looks like a blade twister holding dagger out while you spin. Don't remember which skill they were for these, but those are just 2 examples.

I would like to object. Cause for me its quite the opposite. I mained smn before ninja came out. When ninja came out I mained nin for awhile even got its zeta. After that I got smn zeta and haven't touched nin since. Now my main is smn again and as a second main BLM.

Was MNK on FFXI then SAM and NIN. Pretty much the same on FFXIV. I'm currently waiting on SAM also. Hoping they keep it as a DPS like they talked about before.
