Yoshi hints at blitzball and FF15 event

Might be hard for Blitzball to be a thing in Eorzea, because apparently in Spira, all the humans could breathe water. You swam like it was nothing in that game, so i can only assume drowning was impossible.

Either way, it'd be so funny if something Blitzball-esque could be used to bring the beast tribes together with man in XIV. It kind of worked that way in X, but seeing as they all hate eachother in XIV it'd be interesting to see.

no blitzball please... that was 1 of the worst minigames in final fantasy franchise.. was super duper easy n got boring real fast lol

Yes plz anything new like this is a welcome treat. But i do hope we can score some type 0 outfits as well:o

i tried my hardest to play my type-0 copy that came with my $60 XV demo. But the game was just too cheese to take seriously. The outfits probably had something to do with it, but some of them were neat at least...

Ummm, not exactly...
At the end of the extended edition, you see Yuna practicing holding her breath. You'll note that she's not a blitzball player in that game :P

She's also part of the group of non-swimmers. For SOME reason, only Wakka, Tidus, and Rikku can swim. I'd say maybe it's because magic is virtually useless underwater, however Lulu tells you to learn magic in case there are underwater battles. In the case of Auron, I'd say it is because *something spoilerific* but the zombified Guardian of Bevelle sorta disproves that one too.

hm could be fun, the ff15 event as long as they make the characters look like they will work then im cool with it.. no car though.

If 4.0 is the underwater xpac, I would not be surprised if the following happened:

• Through some event during late early 4.0 we gain the ability to swim and breath underwater indefinitely.
• While visiting the Sahagin capital we and several NPCs (one of which is Godbert) witness a game of Blitzball between the Sahagin and what is likely to be the more humanoid PC underwater race and Godbert loves it.
• Godbert, in cooperation with Garland Ironworks, uses Allagan tech to add a Blitzball arena to the Golden Saucer.

I was thinking Cid and co could invent a small mouth piece that allows you to breath underwater. Maybe they find some Allagan tech, or pinch it from the empire. Maybe even Novv & co have a way to allow land walkers to breath underwater.

Plenty of possibilities to help explain it. :)
