Dungeons aren't the only reliable source of exp. I've leveled all of my DPS classes from 1-50 with FATEs and levequests for the most part. The only time I've really done dungeons is when I'm leveling with friends that are leveling tank/healer. The queue was already bad before Rogue was introduced, and I didn't want to deal with it. This isn't something that SE can just wave a wand and magically fix. The fact is, way more people want to bring the pewpew with a DPS character than want to play support as a tank/healer, especially now with a new DPS class being released.

If you want to main DPS, you end up having to deal with sucky queues. You mayaswell get used to it now. :/

I give up, I ran out of leves and that haulted my EXP gain, roaming parties of rogues and other people are spamming FATE's and crushing them before I can even get near them. I was in the DF for over 5 hours last night. You people mean to tell me that this is ok for a game to wait that long just to do a dungeon? That's insane and unreasonable, and should not be the case. There should be a reasonable method to level aside from expendable leve allowances and FATEs, because grinding mobs is just not going to work out very well. It's really bad if you can bypass that 5 hour wait time if you just have a friend or two who can roll as tank and healer, but alas my entire FC is doing the new content while their new members are stuck out in the cold.

I'm not dealing with this, video games are supposed to be fun, not mind boggling and stupid. This game isn't hard, the mechanics of Paladin and Gladiator are extremely simple, even my dumb ass can keep my people alive without a single blemish. But when it comes right down to it, other people can be stupid. You work your ever loving ass off on a class like Thaumaturge, only for the Rogue/Ninja spam to clog up your EXP. I am squishy, I can't do leves and my FC is too busy with their primal Ex fights.

Is this ok? People before you post keep in mind I'm driven on anger and estrogen right now, and you do not want me picking apart your comments. Is it ok that players are being cockblocked from story missions because of what class they pick? I wanna get into allied seals and whatnot, I wanna work to get my stuff, but how can I if I can't level at a reasonable rate? Leves start to BLOW

I had thought to just read back through and see what others had said, but this sums everything up perfectly. Before 2.4 the DF was sluggish for DPS, but it was tolerable. Now it is much worse since it was at launch, making it quite literally a slap in the face for anyone who doesn't have people they can form parties with, or in my instance, their play time is at odds with the server's peak time.

In short, NOT HAPPY SQUARE-ENIX.

I see no problems on leveling the new class, if you being helped by one or two friends on the missing healer or tank roles, so your queue time will be low. On the best, if you have enough friends willing to help, you can make light party straight away and make all run you needs to level up.

The "problem" is that too much players nowadays are lone wolves and does not have enough friends to even make a light party, or have friends that does not have the willing to help each other.

SE cannot do anything on the issue.

If you want my advice I would find a different company. It's pretty bad that they are just doing the new content and ignoring new members.

i mean OUTSIDE DUNGEONS , new players are free to go and level tank/healer (arcanist for dps/heal all in one!)

if u are waiting for DF as new player is because u choosed to roll DPS....old players with everything at 50 but dps classes have no options.

Lone wolves? Oh dear god don't make me laugh on that. If they were "lone wolves" then why would I even want to bother playing an online Final Fantasy? I'd just go sit in my corner and play the older games and get the same gratification, or I'd just go waste my time playing FFXI.

Like hell they can't do anything on the issue. Increasing the amount of EXP gained from other content is a way to fix it. You mean to sit there and tell me it won't help mitigate the insanity that DPS players are feeling WHO DON'T EVEN WANT TO LEVEL ROGUE? I just want to level my Thaumaturge...I wanna be a Black Mage before the next patch hits, and I got a ton of lvls

EDIT: You know I find it hilarious that people who are like "Deal with it" Are almost always sporting tank gear and/or healer stuff. Yeah it's easy for you to say when you don't have to wait for queue times or have FC friends who can help you, ffs I can't even get mine to say "Can't busy" at this point, I just get ignored. We're going on 3 hours right now for today's DF queue, let's see if we can't beat last night's record.
