Yeah why they're doing everything in regards of the PS3 version. The same scenario happened with FFXI:
It originally released on the PS2, people loved/hated it, then it got a PC ports which brought in a lot more people who loved or hated it then eventually it got a 360 release which again brought in a lot more people who loved or hated, but in the end people choose the PC platform because playing on a console is all well and good, but playing on the PC you can enhance certain aspects (especially graphically.)
So if it does well for the PS3 launch, you'll also see an increase in PC players no matter the MMO that's out. TERA has been released for half a yearish now and a JP beta and release is happening -- Everyone has the ability to play it (whether you understand the languages or not) but it failed in Korea and is constantly in a downward spiral, so honestly, no MMO kills another, it's usually the MMO itself that kill it or the players and their mass exoduses that does nothing but ruin potentially good games.
