The Dungeons give great sp. I've been spamming them since patch...
I've also been doing the quests which give good SP. I have been doing leves too... which give good SP. I've done everything but grind... -

A good way to get sp now would be the quests I'm sure. Sure some are cost effective when you think of distance ran, but getting 1k just for talking to the grand company people is nice, and kinda easy mode. Kill some cobs somewhere 3000 sp for the quest when you turn it in that is worth it. I think for guildleves you are going to need 8 people again, does anyone know maximum links used to be 1+4, i wonder if they made it 1+7 now. 1 being person who initiates and the +# being those who link.

I don't think SP was nerfed, they are just shifting the focus of the leveling up process a little bit.
Edit: it was actually around 300 SP, sorry, got confused with something else I was doing around the same time, still ~double the SP. -

I was just killing random enemies around my same level at a very steady pace near silver bazaar and receiving 200-300sp. I didn't have much time to play because i am now at work, however the SP gains were a lot more then i got pre patch *shrug* so i don't know, maybe i didn't know how to level pre 1.18 but I'm moving along nicely now.
I played FFXI since NA launch and i love the group grinding, but always wanted some solo content, in comparing the two I am actually very happy with the solo ability and group content in FFXIV thus far. -

SP was not nerfed unless you were using the Leve Link & abandon method. If you take this into account, leve SP all around has been buffed quite a bit. No fatigue is another boost.

He is not lying, you're trying to play FFXIV the old way before the patch... the old way doesn't work anymore. People will have to adjust to the new direction that the game is heading. He make his intentions very specific in this letter, I am sorry . -

Getting 300SP per mob is pitiful at higher levels especially now that healers need to constantly rest for MP with the increased costs. It's doable, sure, but it will take a very long time to accomplish significant progress and most importantly it's not fun, it's a chore and it shouldn't be that way in a video game. Especially since Yoshi specifically said he wouldn't do that which is the point of the thread.Quote:
