Can we please get voice chat?

If I wanted to listen to whiny 13 year olds, I would go play call of duty.

Same with DDO, two f2p games that could barely do anything else right, yet they could get voip right easy enough.

If the female miqote suddenly would start talking with a manly voice it would kinda ruin the FF experience I would think....

support, please incorporate voice chat in the future

Rather not see them waste time on this. Skype is infinitely better than any in game chat system I have used, and its available for free on anything from smart phones to tablets to pc to psvita and psp. Anything that requires voice chat people already will use their outside preferred method they are accustomed to anyway so it would be a waste except for a select few. I will stick with talking with who I want and only when I want to rather than having to listen to and mute every single person I come across in PF/DF.

Not sure you realise how in game voice chat works. It can be "on" or "off"...much like any other voice comm. The nice thing about it, is that it's there whenever the need arises.

LotRO wasn't ftp when I played it...so not sure what the game is like since it went from the sub model.

And as I said before, once it's official it will be expected to be used by those who think you can't chat with a keyboard. If they start getting obstinate, be it about how the run isn't fast enough or you aren't doing your absolute best (in their eyes), then your options are to either mute them or silently put up with the harassment. Of course, if they get really fed up with you they can abuse vote kick. Right now they can still do the second thing but without voice chat you don't have to endure the preceding harassment for even one second. And yes, they can harass you over text but text is so much easier to ignore without lifting a finger.

PS4 players just party chat, odd how my console is starting to look more like a pc after adding kb&m. Have to kb if your gonna survive I'm this game
