Why do our tail goes up when wearing Weathered Evenstar Coat

When I got my body, I felt like a circus director. Since I have my ilevel 100 trousers too, I feel like a tranny circus director.

All the devs would have to do is literally just flip the tail and point it downwards and I'd be a million times happier. PLEASE DO SOMETHING DEVS!! This is terrible.

Erect tail means the Miqo'te is on alert, inquisitive or happy. Happy, like you should be with this amazing new outfit, kupo! Please look forward to it.

Except speaking from a purely cat-language their tails only ever stand straight up like that in one of two instances when they are saying "F-You" or "I am really peaved off right now!" where I substituted Peaved for a certain other 4 letter P word that basically means the same thing only more resolutely.

Obviously the developers don't have anyone on their development team who owns a cat.

EDIT: Also, what you guys are obviously missing in regards to the outfit is that it is obviously losely inspired by the Harlequin Trope or as it more commonly is referred to as the Court Jester. And as such it is an homage to two characters from two of Square-Enix's (then Square-Soft) older games. There is of course Kefka from Final Fantasy VI... but there is also Harle from Chrono Cross.
