I really was expecting actual trials like Chimera and Hydra when reading the initial quest log. That would be a VERY fun alternative. My hopes were crushed when I read I had to do fates. Crushed further when I learned it was RNG. Crushed even further when I learned it was a low drop rate. Now, crushed to the point of making a thread when it's been weeks and I still have no Atma - in hopes that they change it. Which is the only shred of hope I have left for getting my Atma weapons.

That does not work, sorry. Tested a few thousand gil worth of teleports to try.

I think that they should add a quest, where you just need to speak to the npc next to the quest giver and he will give you an Ilvl 500 weapon. That would be such a fun quest! And it would be so much fun to get that awesome weapon without putting any effort into it! And then we could all stand in mor dhona showing everyone our cool ilvl 500 weapon and then we don't have anything to do until they add the next weapon the next patch. It should totally be an ilvl 1000! And it should be even easier to get. Actually we should aall get it by just logging in to the game! Even if you aren't level 50! Yeah that would fix this game!

A full party boss fight would have been better than the farming.

Just don't get this agrument they add one feature to the game that is grind/timesink and it's optional to do btw and its the end of the world scenario for a certain group of people. They already catering 99% of this game to players like youself and threw in a 1% or single feature to a game that cater's maybe to a different crowded of gamer and you want to complain about it I called that stance a hyperbole argument .

Of course it is! That is exactly what it is.... no one with a lick of sense would really make the comment "you are doing something wrong" related to a rng factor, except to get someone's goat.

At first I thought they were serious... but now it's obvious they came into a thread where they knew people were getting burned out and would give a reaction to some prodding. It's sad... but there is a lot of that in this community.

Yeah I tended to get lucky in higher level zones and ended up getting very fast FATE kills when I was doing the lower level stuff. I didn't really think of Coeurl as a high pop server but I guess I ended up picking the right times to farm, luckily.

I happen to be that 1% who likes farming for gear, and it sucks so bad that everyone is complaining about it so there will probably not be anything farming related in the future

This is why I made the post with the song and image, as I knew this thread would need some sort of comic relief. The post favors no sides.

No idea where people are getting the idea that the rate is going to be increased/nerfed in 2.5 as there has been no mention of this from Yoshii. In the changes he mentioned about 2.5 incoming, there was no mention of atma's have their drop rate increased, etc.
