Coil T1 with Duty Finder

Been running as a healer in DF these days, whilst the high voltage indeed can be healed through, it just irritates me as hell.

I wonder how on earth these people are going to learn if they think Echo can help them bulldoze things while playing like shit. DPS on T1 ADS were slow as hell with THREE monks and none of them silences.

I was kinda pissed and I asked them: no one bothers to silence?

1 mnk replied: Look that the party composition.

It ticked me off more than ever. So I replied: Did you know a single mnk can solo silence this?

That same monk replied: Knowing and how to is a different thing. And he pointed that there is a PLD which the PLD protested he did silence and he can only do so once every 30s.

I was like.. dafaq? So ALL THREE of you monks can't monk? LOL?

Unfortunately monk silence seems to be a rare thing, I main a monk and have been silencing Turn 1 ADS for my group quite a lot, can even solo silence it, pretty easy actually. But when I am tanking using DF, it's sad to see that none of the monk every tried to even silence, Turn 1 ADS is easy to silence since it's a fixed rotation. Turn 2 is a bit different since for node there is a long delay between the first and second high voltage, while for ADS, the timing can be off when ADS eat a node. Though once in a blue moon you get that awesome monk that silence it like a pro, makes me really happy

Never seen that pro monk on a DF, only happened in statics.

And half of the bards in T1 ADS can't even silence it properly.

I can only depend on my own healing lol. There was even once the mini nodes weren't even picked up by the OT and both of us healers were being smacked left right center. :(

lol, probably cause a lot more new players are doing coil now, those that didn't do it before 2.2. I still need 85 more runs of coil/extreme to get my mount, after that time to retire my axe :D

As healer now you can leech or Esuna the effect off it does not last as long and that attack always comes after the cannon attack ( the huge box that you have to dodge ) lol its a pain when it can't be silenced but it's not the end of the world either :)

I'm just gearing up my WHM so that I can run PLD/BRD/WHM for Brayflox SR for tomes. Tanking it 200 times with DF players is more taxing than getting an Animus :p

Yeah I know.. the thing is the paralysis doesn't last that long either, but it's just so annoying.

Probably because we have been playing since 2.0 and these are probably newer players who haven't really experienced coil in its original difficultly. Or players who have other classes in level 50 but doesn't know their job and thinks that they can bulldoze through coil with Echo.

T1 and T2 enraged, maybe, but T4 and T5 is another story :rolleyes:

I tank Levi ex for my static as well so it's not that bad, I still can BEAR with it for now :D
T1 and T2 are usually pretty smooth run, but T4 can get quite bad, I have seen bad positioning, DPS that went all out before the tank even have time to grab agro, healers can't keep up, those that pull agro and start running around, DPS that can't focus on the same target. When it's good it's a 6-7 minute easy run, when it's bad, prepare to wipe a few times with either a clear or abandon at the end.
