Even though this may not be what you expected, you have a time sink now and a "Long term goal" to work towards. Get to it! No complaining maggot!

Brainless grind is exactly what players here have asked for, be it easy brainless grind or hard brainless grind.
Maybe not you specifically, but plenty of players made it quite clear that they wanted something like this.
It's not time-gated... It's not loot-locked... It's a brainless grind.
And since you seem to be unaware of it, there's plenty of other dungeons you can run for myths... dungeons that give myths and soldiery so you can work on gearing up at the same time...
Actually, its not that bad. lol. I do agree the rate is low, but I've already gotten 3 pieces, just stopping to do fates while I did the main quest.

lol I definitely didn't ask for this but people kept complaining about relics so here you go. Meanwhile I think I'll focus on leviathan and then the masterworks weapon. Have fun with this.
I don't think it'll be too bad. I haven't logged in yet, but people not getting past the Atma stage within the first few hours doesn't seem terrible (though the means to do it might be a bit grindy and mindless). Judging by progress, it looks like some people will progress to the next stage by the end of the day or tomorrow where what appears to be the real grind begins.
im sorry...are you saying its 13.5k myth to upgrade a weapon?! that MAYBE would be acceptable if I wanted to upgrade one weapon...but this game revolves around using multiple classes/weapons.
The dungeon was just an example. Whatever is the fastest way to get myths after patch will be the one spammed by anyone serious about getting the weapons quickly, that's beside the point.
The main idea is that this is a complete timesink with absolutely no challenge involved at all. I will never understand the people who actually wanted this, sorry.
This is what happens when it goes from handing out relics to actually making you work for it. Remember: Patches are supposed to keep people busy until the next, they have to stretch content out somehow.
