Hildibrand...

So considering Hildibrand appears in a flash of light, does that make him an official Warrior of Light? Is that where he's been all this time: stuck in the time stream and not having come out when the rest of the legacy players did?

He's wearing a variant of the patrician's gear set. Easily obtainable in game for all your crafting needs.

Thank you for this. Honestly, I never played much of 1.0 because of how absolutely atrocious it was at launch and the weeks following that yielded no sign of improvements, so I ended up quitting, though I was originally really anticipating the game back then. It was a huge letdown to me, sadly.

So I never got to experience Hildibrand. While I have become aware of who he was relatively, by means of people posting his pics and talking about him via different forums I never really understood just what he was all about other than the Comic Relief aspect. This video totally filled me in as to what happened with him and it was pretty damn hilarious/silly. Now I can enjoy his reappearance like everyone else.

Hildibrand will be discovered trapped in a chunk of crystal inside Turn 6, like a bug in amber. After you free him, he'll talk at length about how he had to survive on Dalamud for weeks eating nothing but antimatter slimes, and then rode one of the dislodged spear things down like the nuke from Dr. Strangelove once Bahamut got loose.
