and now my brain is hurting from bad English...
Lest we not forget that one upon a time there was Square Electronic Arts that brought us games like Xenogears, Vagrant Story, etc. sure it was just a way for Square to partner with large US publisher so they could get their games out easier in the west, but they did have a business relationship at one point in time.
Game companies buying each other out is pretty much a constant, and nothing surprises me anymore, so I'd say any of it possible. That being said, of all the listed companies, Disney seems like it would be most likely to just take whatever money the game is making and leave it the hell alone. And then build us a Final Fantasy roller coaster.
I saw something about Nintendo merging with Perfect World...and then I realized this thread contained no useful information.
Sony? Maybe
The rest? HELL NO!
InB4 Valve steals the show with funds gained from the recent Black Friday/Christmas sale profits.
Edit: This is also why they are adding it to Steam!
EA? Activision? Sony? Microsoft? Perfect World? oh gods please no!
all of those companies pretty much destroy everything they touch or absorb them destroying anything they don't deem worth anything.
and before any of you try to say not sony. I bet most of you don't remember Psygnosis
if anyone buys SE I hope its a company that actually cares about the games they make. if Sony bought em I suspect we would only see the FF series survive that buyout
Ea/act can't offer too much. SE is more likely. Perfect world or MS may bring best offer there.
if MS buys em we might as well say goodbye to most of what SE has to offer.
and Perfect World...not saying their games suck but they have a lot to fix before any of their games are worthy of note(most of their games are so buggy its a wonder we can play em)
to be honest Valve might be a good choice if the rumor were true(this would make linux users cheer I'm sure)
