People forcing SRs in DF

He probably queued up on his DPS while he shouted for an hour and couldn't get into a run because he wasn't a BRD or BLM. If I don't do WP SRs with my FC I can't get into any parties on my DRG even though it's VERY well geared. I'm almost full Myth/Allagan 330+ DPS my Doom Spikes crit anywhere between 500-600 but newp....gotta shout while in queue because I don't give TP or have infinite mana.

Firstly, this thread was started about forced SRs in DF. you came in here and dropped your 2 cents. You are the one that is not understanding the topic. Tonberry's to birds>beetles to pugils+grease>then to the door does not equal a SR. that is a normal run. This is about people DFing and expecting/forcing SR type pulls. Under-geared tanks running from the start to the mobs after the beetles(usually before swiftcast+prot & ss can be cast) then bitch cause they wipe. can I heal that. HELL YES! do i want to heal that with an nearly fresh 50 tank and possible fresh DPS. No. That is what we are saying, nothing about hating efficient runs

WP Tanks take note. This is how its done when you duty finder it. Also you have to be a terrible healer if you cant heal 2 groups of mobs... It really takes no effort in a semi-speed run which I consider a quick run which I do all the time.

I think the confusion with people here is speed, quick and normal. OBV with speed run you would have a full geared party with relics... otherwise you are just wasting your time. I shout for speed runs in toll. A quick run is pulling two groups which cant burden anyone if you have an aoe dps there. Now if you have a party with two melee jobs then by all means do a normal run which would be killing mobs where they are not pulling extra. This thread is filled with a bunch of cry babies...

I'll make sure to take note next time I DF WP and I get 3 people in AF because WP is the next progression, I will pull and play as if they know what a speedrun is when I can tell they barely started lvl 50 content by the message that appears "you have people new to this duty". I will pop sprint and run to boss gate. Expect them to hit boss and sleep mobs while the mobs get locked out and I can continue my speed run. This is a great idea. And nothing can go wrong and if it does it's because they are bad and of no fault of my own.

Oh and saying that the minimum I should do is ask if a speed run is ok, makes me a cry baby, and my ego is hurt so I cannot do that.

Ok then my bad. I thought this was about people hating on efficient runs. If the tank is fresh 50 and people are forcing speed runs meaning pull 4+ groups then thats just retarded.

Its a completely different story if there are people new to the duty...

I flag up for WP DF as WAR with my wife on SCH. This set up already means we can't do a true speed run.

My War is adequately geared (relic and all but 2 DL - this isn't my 'main') and my wife's SCH is better geared.

Consequently, I can set the speed of the run and I do so based on the party makeup.

Largely i90? As close to a true speed run as my gear allows
All relics? 2-3 groups per pull.
i-level 60-70 and no BLM? 2 groups per pull (give or take)
2 new players who've never done it before? 1-2 groups per pull and explanations before bosses.

The worst runs don't take 15 minutes longer than the best runs and the fact that I get insta-queues means I can afford to take my time with new players. I think a DD is the last person who should be concerned with how long a run takes. How much is 2-3 minutes really when you're waiting 30 mins between runs?

I forced a speed run on a fresh healer , he did quite well too . It made me think that the healers I have in good gear that have got me killed aren't really that good .

WHM is definitely best healer for speed run btw , the fairy will heal me and pull agro most of the time before I even flash once . Unles of course they control the pet .

Yeah, i had that happen once, tank forced a SR, i healed it, towards the last boss, i make one error and get called everything but a person, told to learn my class or role a DD. Yeah. Tanks and DD forget....we litterally hold their life in our hands.....
