On the other hand, is it not disrespectful to claim multiple mobs as "mine!"? Or even 1 mob in general. Sure, you were there first for that reason, but if you're not actively fighting something, how are the other, non claimed mobs also yours?
Unclaimed mobs are fair game for anyone who wants to try to fight them. You have no right to say "Don't fight that sheep way over there, I might want to fight it in a couple of minutes".
Played EQ2 for 8 years+ yes it's respect to others but for 1 mob (boss) not 5 or 6 that are roaming around that's fair game to all.If I am killing mobs that are quest updates I either stop and let the player get there updates or I send a tell asking if they want to group up either way I am happy with.I have spent over 3 hours killing 1 mob for items to feed my crafters and most of the time I took turns with other players who were waiting to do the same thing,no silly arguments just common sense which is all it takes.
oh, just recently was trying to get a few karakuls for my hunting log as whm, but there were several ppl farming. i asked politely to give me just 4 karakuls and then i'll leave but they just ignored all my pleas and since i dont have any aoe i can cast beforehand they surely took all mobs from me. it was really frustrating to watch at such ppl, the trash of the society. And actually with new spots added just more farmers are in dragonhead, nothing really changed.
As for me if i'm farming something - and see many ppl around, i just take one spot and kill that mob leaving others the chance to farm too, but still ppl are running to me trying to claim the one mob i'm farming, which is really rude and laughable such ppl are
Yup, diremites. That was before the patch anyway, but they may have changed it in the servers with the previous downtime. No wonder I find that place empty, now. Which is GOOD. Even if I lost a potential fortune, with all the velvet things I was making for the weaver log.
