Your entire argument hinges on the premise that only RMT use bots... A faulty premise to be sure.

I mean, I do agree with the stuff you said... I would just imagine there are also a number of Non-RMT that use this.

The best part is when you report them and the ticket just gets closed with no reply, while the teleporting bot goes on the rest of the day. People keep saying "it takes time". I wonder if those people ever played an MMO back in the days of server GMs actually being online on each server and dealing with things first hand. That requires paying more people though, so instead we get ticket systems that amount to glorified email.

What good does it do to swoop in and delete ill-gotten gil if you leave in all of the farming bots making it?

And that is all that is needed to be done.

-If every spam bot was instantly banned they would stop spamming in the cities as it would not be useful.
-If every gathering bot was banned in a timely matter they would have a lot less money being made.

To the argument that they need to do it longer to investigate I give you this response. You are saying let the problem get worse before working on fixing it. Square Enix has the tools to look back at the actions of any particular character. (It is why in your reports they ask you for the time, date, zone, along with the name of the character so they can pull up logs.) If evil RMT bot #24 is caught gathering iron ore, Square-Enix can trace back all of #24's actions since being created and find out where they sent the gil to without letting them continue to ruin the I game economy. On that same note when the person logs on I am sure the IP and MAC address is recorded. (IP for sure).

Man as being a bst in ffxi BOY DO I MISS MPKING BOTS lol!

On a side note the rmt issue is as much the gilbuyers fault as it is the gil seller. If they would get rid of the spamming and the teleporters it would be an early christmas
