The best game ever for you doesnt precisely have to be the same for me.People have different tastes.
This is my biggest worry right now. I dont even know if this game is heading to a direction I will like.i definitely wont stick around to see if i will like the outcome when another good mmo comes out and they still discussing whatever to implement jump or not.I am sure many shares my feelings. Unfortunately not enough to make a difference.

Right. Precisely my point. Best game for me isn't the best game for you. You have a right to throw out that input. Which you are. Either way. We live in a dynamic world. Dynamic means many things happen at once. The Dev team has to be dynamic. We can hold 100 discussions. Some are more relevant than others. This happens to be relevant in a world where lots of things happen at once. You're kinda acting like they're only going to do one thing at a time. The Battle system takes a lot of attention only because it happens to be dynamic. But talking about jumping needs to happen eventually. Sooner is better than later.

Rowyne- Exactly. And that's how we got the forum. Of course it's crazy, but what matters is you can tell people care. Had the forums opened up, and today activity was minimal, I'd be sincerely concerned where the game was headed. Just knowing people care enough to rage (annoying as it is) tells you the game's still got life and people wanna see it do well. Sometimes they're just... overly harsh.

I support jumping a 100%! I don't want to be tied to the ground, give me some freedom.

they can add reasons to jump and emotes get spammed more in ffxi then jump in WoW. /jump will get spammed so much ima laugh. /dance1 2 4 are spammed daily by 20-30 ppl per zone. No one compaling about that are they.

I hope for the game future you are right.But i still need some kind of action more than words to feel confident so forgive me if i dont feel as secure about the game future as most people around here, just because yoship-p is a people magnet . So far i only seen easy fixes and nothing with mayor essence. Unfortunately iam running out of patience and that this type of thread gets a response literally is a slap on the face for those who DO play everyday and DO want this game to succeed.

I am a person who valor actions over words, and i havent seen real actions taken yet. in contrasts i do not want anything rushed out , but this is a thin line we are walking on atm.

I've said it before and so have others...If they give us a jump and you want to use it, then use it. If you don't wanna use it, then don't friggin use it! I really wanna see jump implemented, just so I can see everyone that says it's stupid use it. You know you will.../points finger

Those who don't want Jump won't just settle for not using it... they don't want you to use it too!.... yes i know, they are selfish like that....

Most everything so far has been minor because they've been working on how to do the big stuff. That starts this month. Don't forget, Yoshi-P has stated "I'd rather roll out a few small things at a time then make people wait for everything at once." So they're doing the easy stuff now because it took less time to solve. A lot of the smaller problems added up into big ones over all, and just the level of frustration I've felt has gone down. I've been playing since Alpha, so I've seen every change this game has under gone. And everything Yoshi-P has done is a step in the right direction. But it is time to see some of the major additions.

I'm not a big fan of free jumping, since it will pretty much ruin the atmosphere for me. People get bored quickly when walking from A to B. And to pass their time, I can already see the mighty Roegady and proud Elezen to jump around like madmen on their way to the next camp. However, that was probably said a hundred times before and there will be at least a hundred answers about how much of a lame and old-fashioned person I am, so off to something else:

If jumping is implemented and can be executed at any time, it should get some kind of downside. For example the jump animation could have less forward movement than running and thus slow players down. Or movement could simply be suspended for a short while after a jump. (Or each jump costs 25% HP! Haha!)

I'll sacrifice a jump if they add Gelflings and Skeksis to playable races.
