Difficult experience in Forked Tower – a reminder to respect public content

No I'll play the game within the systems of the game, and as long as I am not intentionally griefing, there is nothing you can do about it. If you do not like the in game systems, go cry to Square not me. You clearing the content how you want to, isn't my problem.

This is what makes it particularly egregious, is that this is now the third time something originally marketed toward the broader, more "casual" players, has been "accidentally" made into Extreme/Savage content, and the second time this expansion

Indeed it is not your problem how the premade groups clear the content.

Just like it is not their problem if you die and want a rez.

Taking this analogy of imperial Rome further, might I ask the Patricians (Discord) to hand Yoshi-P a toga and a violin. The only reasonable conclusion to this pitiful story is to watch FT burn.

Do the Patricians have a daily quota for insulting filthy casuals? Is it assigned on Discord?

This content is placed in a casual zone. We are told that if one person out of 48, who has been assigned their role in some "nightmare" process involving spreadsheets, is replaced by a "sniper," the run is doomed to failure.

And yet you assert the content is not too difficult.

It's not difficult at all, but this isn't meant to be a dig the average ffxiv player can barely do Towers so it is pretty much doomed to fail unless they study.

Using the same logic, the premade party at FT can decide not to rez the individuals there because they won't cooperate, just like they can decide to boot in PF.

Alliance Raids are casual content. FT is a high-end duty. If you've ever actually raided then you would understand the difference.

Nope. Because they are casual content ie. they do not require coordination - you can "wing it". FT you can't "wing it" or OP wouldn't have died and nearly wiped 47 people.

Nobody has said it belongs to discord. They are saying that people shouldn't be anti-social. Making 47 other players wipe because you aren't as progressed as them is inconsiderate and anti-social.

This too. Discord was integrated into consoles from what I recall, because Discord is universally used by gamers now. Even if SE added their own voice chat, a lot of people would just use Discord, because Discord would probably be better in terms of performance and quality.

Same. 99% of people don't even talk in this sort of content. They are there to listen to callouts so they don't wipe. The person doing callouts is attempting to help YOU clear by saying what movement key to press. Couldn't be simpler.

Part of the reason it isn't difficult for the participants is because it has been so meticulously organised by the hosts of these runs. Capable players are assigned the core responsibilities and the remainder of the players show up and ensure they know how to solve mechanics that could wipe people. All mechanics are called out quickly by a designated shotcaller.

It's not right to say it isn't difficult. If it wasn't difficult it would be puggable and not reliant on having a shotcaller present.
