SE Should take some lessons in Cloud Servers. Scalability would have solved this issue right when it popped. By the look of it they run this like they used to run XI's servers. Only that this is a very different game and needs a more up to date approach.
I would like to comply with the official advice of "Try again later" but 1) I'VE BEEN WAITING OVER 24 HOURS and 2) the problem is getting worse the longer I wait
Yeah. I've stepped away from the game for hours at a time - or just run off to do something other than the MSQ's in-game. This is getting very frustrating since it's looking increasingly likely that even when tomorrow morning swings around it'll still be congested. I'll be very annoyed if I have to wait until Monday for the servers to clear out enough for me to have a decent chance at actually getting through the first solo duty of the expansion. Tuesday is the official launch, too, so I imagine that'll bring another burst of players back to the game as well.
Yeah, regardless of the official post, there doesn't seem to be any noticeable change at all. After such staggering lack of foresight to plan for this, it's obviously going to be difficult to simply "fix" since they can't just wave a wand and queue instanced battles, but over 24hrs without any real change is disheartening.
32 hours in launch and it's increasingly obvious that SE isn't going to do anything to fix it.
Things like this are yet ANOTHER reason why other non-quest content should NOT be locked behind the MSQ!!!
Seriously, I would kill for A GOD DAMN QUEUE for Solo Instances already. We've been in here for hours already, and I'm starting to feel like this is even worse than Heavensward's Early Access. Sure, the server crash wasn't THAT bad, but during that time the maintenance fixed all the issues. However, I think this time they need to just take down the servers and address the problem directly in an emergency maintenance. A lot of people have come here with expectations of this Early Access being as good as Heavensward, and it's certainly become a crash so far. With the mass amount of complaints people are saying piling up, things aren't looking pretty. If we don't get past the bottleneck by the time of Release in THREE DAYS then Early Access would mean nothing.
