I too, am having the problem of finding the perfect scene. I recreated one from my source perfectly, however as funny as it is, it's not necessarily a shot I can use. lol but that wont stop me from laughing about it. (I'll blooper post it <3)

Where are all my Excalibur fellow models at?! My ig sis and I are both models this cycle! :)

Seconding Lowena above in wondering if this is still a thing. I have an alt on Balmung for roleplay and visiting friends and would love to join if the linkshell is still going.

It still exists but I am the only one in it! xD I wont be online much in the next few weeks, so someone call dibs on making one, inviting everyone, and let's all hang out on Balmung for a Cycle 3 Thanksgiving Party!!! :D :D

Just saw the tally! For those of you in the bottom 3 at the moment, do not give up hope! Judges scores can add anywhere from 0 to 15 points to your score! Last Cycle we saw quite a few models eliminated by a margin as low as TWO points! It could be anyone's game! Hold tight, and most of all, Take Round 2's picture regardless!!!! The worse thing in the world would be if you didn't get eliminated, but were disqualified due to not submitting a photo.

Don't give up!!!

Also, I think I FINALLY know what I want my cosplay to be! I doubt I'll get perfect, but that's okay because I thought of a scenario that I love entirely too much to not try.

I think I've got the shot I want now for round 2. I don't think anybody else will pick the same as me, but I do hope people don't find it too obscure. :S

Scenic

Thank you for the compliments on this picture ♥ Yep, I was using the sun, but it's actually slightly to the right in the picture, to soften the shadows a bit. I used face camera before swinging around into position, and straighface to get a more serene expression. Placing was a bit tricky at first, since the feet kept wanting to clip into the wall she's standing on, but right at the edge I finally found the sweet spot. Then all I had to do was wait for the right time of day. Also, yep, that's the sleeves of the tunic. Undyable, sadly T_T I thought the tone would be picked up a little bit in the shoes, but then the leaves covered the shoes a fair bit, so... XD And it's not really a tricky place to get up on. If you go to the entrance to Amdapor Keep (I think it's AK - the one in Snakemolt), you'll see :p

This one was a tough choice, because there were a few I was picking between:

In the ones with closed eyes I wanted to go for something more dreamy, enjoying a summer day in the forrest, breathing in the scents on the wind... But I thought eyes closed would risk making it a bit too disconnected. And since the theme was scenic, I didn't pick the evening ones where the background was so much darker.


Battle

The bombs are aggroed with a non-damaging skill, and the one used for the effect is indeed Swiftcast. It's juuust at the end, after the animation is done and she's gone back to her original pose. Here's one that I had as an option:

I was a bit surprised at the critique for this one. Going by the previous things you'd said to people, I would have expected you guys to pick up on the thing that made me go d'oh after I saw it XD

I used to love the old MLP when I was little, but I don't really know much about it, so I have no idea who you were talking about during this part XD

Yes, I could definetly have zoomed in one more step! (So annoyed that the zoom goes in steps, btw) Some of the later ones were, and it didn't really make a huge difference on the NPC since a lot of the background there is so dark, but I preferred the bodylanguage I got in the one I picked better :3 I was so last minute with this picture! I actually wanted it slightly different, but everyone was asleep by the time I finally came up with a concept. Silly night-active imagination! Hello, I'm new to all this and haven't followed the previous cycles. I was wondering if there was going to be something like an interview post with set questions for everyone to answer. There's always segments on getting to know the models and I'd love to know more on the background of the characters and maybe a little about the people behind them.

Maybe something like:

What is the story behind how you chose your name?

The story of your character reduced into a haiku.

Your favorite way to spend time in game.

Just an idea :)

Brilliant idea! Thanks for volunteering to be the first one done ;) I can randomly select a model from those remaining each week and e-mail them a questionnaire like this, with the intention of posting it along with each round of voting. I'll send you one later today!

Hahah yes that would be hilarious if someone picked the same cosplay... its hard to get everything exact when you are trying to cosplay ig since theres only a so many items you can chose from. Im very excited for thus next round to see what everyone came up with!!! ;D
