Average person on a lower pop server now actually gets to participate in their server's content instead of the rest of the datacenter converging on their Firmament to speed run it while they're at work.

There is no rush.

so we are all progress locked after this phase regardless of when said phase is completed (well until the two months or so passes)? was unaware of that myself thank you for info

The reason it's taking longer than a few hours is because the 3rd progress bar is bigger. Even the populated worlds have been taking a lot longer than before.
Also this is all the content there is until 5.2.
This is getting worked up over nothing, everyone including the smaller worlds, will be done before it even hits week 2. This is still only day 4.

This is it till 5.2, really? It was no work at all and SE claimed smaller servers wouldn't be able to get this done. It too Balmung less then a week and they would have three months.




Also they shouldn't nerf it till next phase is started. It is clearly not that hard.

On the other hand, imagine it would really take longer and even Balmung would need 2 or 3 weeks. The people would complain even more.

Remember we have had some seasonal events that only update once a day no matter the progress. No one really complained, I know people did hoard some turn ins once the daily cap was done. So if it had been capped that they spread the stages over a few weeks it would have been fine. People keep saying housing like we are going to get a new housing zone next week. I wish SE would say no housing that would calm people down a lot.

People are always interpreting too much and get disappointed when things don't happen that weren't even said to happen.

I'm confused, people are saying Firmament will be the next housing area but I haven't seen it officially confirmed. Outside of Edmont's comment, the vibe I've been getting is that Firm will provide work and housing for the Ishgardian poor, or at least that's what it feels like with the turn ins being building materials, food, and furniture...

Look at the zone layout. It's housing. It has appropriately sized lots for large, medium, and small houses.
