I generally agree with the sentiment, but this reveal doesn't exist in a vacuum. It comes along with a rickety history of how SE treats its male characters and their glamour. That one lone quote saying we'd see more in the Tokyo Fanfest makes me think more along what you do, but they could've easily said something like that too in a Q&A or something in fanfest itself. Just half a bone thrown that this isn't everything we'll see to Viera would've gone a long way, just half an acknowledgement. But they didn't, they dodged any questions regarding Viera in the panels that I saw, and the climate is that we're in a situation where Viera being gender locked is something a lot of people think is actually possible, which is really something SE shouldn't have let happen. If bunny boys exist, what's the harm of showing or at least acknowledging them? If bunny boys don't exist, all they're doing right now is stringing people along by giving us hope we'll see them in the next FanFest, only to break those hopes then.
