I appreciate Square Enix supporting LGBT rights in FFXIV.

*sigh* why can't things just be peaceful without coming over and seeing a battle field constantly, and titaman you can't really fake it love who you love, period. I myself don't really care about a person gender if they cool,kind and are similar to me and I feel something I will date them. I've been in poly relationship with both girl and guy.Reading things like this or going to yahoo to look at my emails.. Every time I feel worried about the counter push back that will come from it. So can just have a peaceful story without caring. I love when there is lgbt characters in a story so long as it feels natural and not just thrown in to suit me and others

Heck I'm friends with a feminist and in her version of what it stands for, I could call myself one too since I always stood up to men for how they treated woman. At some point I even got called a traitor of my own gender xD
I guess that is the "straight" person in me? I consider woman wonderfull creatures for as long as they remain positive and take care of their health. There's nothing more attractive then a woman who's proud to be one in my opinion xD

Why were they thanking Se for supporting LGBTQIA+ rights? As a straight guy I've never noticed anything straight or LGBT... all I see is them being neutral to give everyone an option. I suppose this is what they meant? That many games don't give the in between option?

Your privilege is showing. Of course you don't notice anything as a straight man because you are the default. But representation means a lot to LGBTQIA+ folks because we have been historically marginalized and even today, there are bills that aim to cut our human rights. But of course... you wouldn't know or probably wouldn't even care...

This is exactly my point. Your reaction is normal and logical. I like any type of content as long as its not "in my face" meaning not expressed too intimate, awkward or agressive. That way you can enjoy everything without the possibility for anyone feeling uncomfortable.

I grew up with an alcoholic dad who didn't support me, a mum who always picked his side and 2 brothers who loved to bully. Ontop of that I was bullied 12y straight in school and was called all sorts of racist names by people of brown skin. I never got an equal chance in life because that is how things work... you need people that support you and elevate your self esteem. In my case they crushed it so I lost my will to fight for what I wanted. And thats really the only reason why, cuss I didn't make an effort. We ALL get equal chances, some just have it easier... but that has got nothing to do with the colour of your skin.
In school if you had a white skin you had to make a harder effort to pass, foreigners were allowed to cheat in class and teachers pretended to not see it because likely they were afraid to be called racist and lose their job.
So excuse me if I don't feel the privilege you speak about. I'm afraid that is entirely in your head (a fiction of your imagination). Perhaps white privilege is another racist invented word to express their dislike of the white race?

Anyhow I feel this topic may be locked now because it was just to thank SE for their hard work which is appreciated.

But all the political propaganda shouldn't be posted here. I'm beginning to wonder if this was the true intent from the very start xD

To be fair TitanMen never mentionned skin color, but being straight. You're the one who started talking about how white people may have it worse actually (!).

Would you say that we live in a post-discrimination society and that biais at work etc. doesn't exist and favor certain group of people? Because while your personal experiences are valid, it's been contradicted by many studies. Whether you agree with its effectiveness or not (I think it's fair to have doubts), one of the explicit goals in the representation of marginalized groups in media is to reduce negative biais.

Also discussing about political subjects is not the same as political propaganda. In any case, since they seem to actively delete posts but the thread is still alive, the mod team probably think such topics are allowed.

Rainbow colour is mostly a western thing, in the far east they don't really bother about what people are into, other than you see symbols from the western popculture.

This is not meant negative in anyway, but colour spectrum for our eyes goes like that and if you sprinkly water up against light or towards the sun you can crate a rainbow of your own as well, Ryna and Gaia are just good friends, and why all these bait threads and whatever, is their a western part of the world, that think they need to label everything?
