Probably somewhere in Ul'dah while you're killing Ifrit.

The biggest factor for failure in this fight is animation lock and sometimes lag. If you're grouping with people that have a clue what they're doing, it shouldn't be that hard. It comes down to luck most of the time. My LS doesn't farm this 6 days a week or anything like that, but I've personally been a part of about 20 some odd kills and I don't think a hard fight. I'm a tank and usually the only time I get cheesed is due to an ill-timed ability right when he puts a plume under me, and even then that's mostly my fault because you can anticipate when he's going to do an ability. But yeah..it'd be nice if you could actually move as you're using an ability.
In the end there will always be 1 universal truth
not everyone will be able to complete everything in every game, and yet people will always complain that you should be able to regardless of skill level and dedication to the game
its a straight fact, im sorry if you are not good enough to do the fight
wether its due to bad gear, not knowing how to properly play your class
not knowing what the weaponskills look like or taking the time to learn and memorize a fight(at least they arent scripted like in wow)
it could be one of MANy factors, that have to do with you and not the game(the game made the fight very possible to beat, its not as hard as some people make it out to be)
but unfortunately, if you fall into one of those catagories of not being able to complete the fight do to some outstanding factor in real life or with your skill, then youll just have to live with that fact
not everything can be done by everyone, we are not all equal in gamerskill, even if we have the opportunity to be so in game(dont blame the game for your own faults basicaly)
Most of what is posted on this forum is dangerous to the community. =D
i guess it boils down to attention span. >.>
make sure you got a separate log for ifrits actions.
I personally have a window log that only shows ifrits actions and the log shows up a split second earlier than ifrits actual moves. So as a mage i can react faster to, say for example Vulcan or incinerate for the tank.
Some of our newer LS members are still learning the timing, and yeah it always comes down to timing. Dont /ac until ifrit does one of his skills....something easily said but easily forgotten.
My only real concern about this content being added is that it does seem a bit too challenging as it is supposed to be the "exclusive content" we are getting leading up to 2.0. Maybe tone it down a little so that more people can participate. Some people are obviously having a more difficult time participating in these things, and if they are going to be charging on the basis that this is "exclusive content" that will never be able to be seen again, it needs to be accessible by a larger portion of the player base (in my opinion) especially since, again, we will be paying for it.
But who knows, maybe 1.2 will change things.
