I'm laughing and crying at the same time. Not only have they gender locked things already in the game that are not gender locked, then made them not dyeable... but they have also made them a one piece outfit... and then charged rather odd amounts for it.
New request -- Make an all class version of Sabatons, Hard Leather Caligae, Imperial Operative Dalmatica, please.
I have to say, I am loving the new succubus horns on my character. A shame we can't dye it so that it'll be closer to Xaela horn color.
Surprised this made it to the unisex category ... considering how succubus are always female, but I'm not complaining!
Here's hoping Ferdiad's will be available, too :)
I still think we're shooting ourselves in the foot with the slight schism between "Give us male locked items SE" and "Make it all unisex". I'm really hoping the next patch or whatever when this happens again (Because it will happen again) focuses on making all sets all gear unisex and keeping it as close as they can between each set, thus preventing effectively two different sets for the same item.
I don't think the same way ...
Our message is and should be in its pure essence:
Treat us equal!
I want equal numbers and equal styles ( sexy for both, cute for both, badass for both)
I don't see anything good in locking an equal amount of "only male" items.
Simply because NOW I am in the situation of wanting this special female locked item and I know how much it sucks ...
Why should I by the seven hells want a female player feel the same way bad in the future as I do now????
Hurting people in a equal amount still isn't a good thing. Shouldn't our goal be to take away NO option for everyone?
I caved and went back to a female character. Tis a sad day!
Edit: But totally devising new male characters to play as in the future :3
I will admit to 'supporting' exclusive male-locked items purely out of desperate hope that it might stop people with female characters who have somehow missed the debate making cringeworthy remarks about how S-E is doing a great job on glamour equality. Everything unisex is a much better solution; no confusion when using a Fantasia (a product which makes S-E money!), no disappointments and everyone can style their character to look exactly the way they want. It seems to have been the original way the game was built so I'm eternally confused by the new trend towards dividing everyone into arbitrary camps.
Aww! Enjoy those bunny ears :)
