Or you could have just done in the year since.

The relic should have had increased drop rates already because of all the returners from the promises of 8.0. The only way to get a weapon above 750 right now is either waiting a month for 4 blades or buying 770 HQ weapons off the market board, which is a bit of a problem since EX fights still want at least semi-decent weapons and gear to farm.
Viper probably has glowy crafted weapons surely. Same advice. Just buy one..~
For the light blue one that is rare, the pot fate/CE (cannot remember) in that zone gives it as well. There is also a regular fate. The CE can get pulled by killing inkstains.
So, snark aside, it genuinely doesn't, your options for VFX VPR weapons, not counting Relic and Ultimate weapons, are:
- Augmented Hellhound Twinfangs
- Kinna Twinfangs
- Exquisite Zwill Crossblades
That's it, that's all we have currently, none of the DT EX weapons have crafted versions, none of the past Ultimates that have non-Ultimates counterpart(such as DSR and its non-Ultimate "of the Round" weapons) have been updated with VPR weapons. Now, there is a number of VPR weapons that have a glow to them that are fairly easy to obtain, like Titanium Gold Saberfangs and Skydeep Twinfangs, but that's not the same as a VFX weapon.
All that said, I don't think someone wanting something is enough, I want a lot of things in this game that I haven't obtained, doesn't mean the devs should capitulate to me specifically, so if you want a shiny VPR weapon, go solo PotD floor 100 or get a buddy to do ~8 runs of Merchant's Tale Advanced, those are perfectly valid alternatives.
I am really surprised I didn't notice this until now since I craft for myself and others fairly regularly. I assumed you at least got glams from EW and onward, not that its a ton. But the job starts at 90. That's pretty lazy.
I also genuinely did not intend to be rude. I legitimately assumed. Forgot we are dealing with CS3. If you're not going to fully integrate new jobs, why commit to adding 2 every xpac?
They seem to specifically add new weapons tied to progression, the reason we had Cryptlurker Twinfangs is because VPR starts at 80, but anything before that point and anything that isn't considered strictly necessary, no dice, such as not getting a Deepshadow weapon because that would be useless for progression, since the free VPR twinfangs you start with are iLvl 515 and thus better than Deepshadow's iLvl 460.
This leads to every single weapon that could look pretty cool falling to the wayside because they are not strictly "necessary", the only reason we still get new Padjali/Kinna/whatever-the-other-deep-dungeon-weapons-are-called weapons every expansion is because they are necessary for Deep Dungeon functionality, but it also means they always work as a fallback as an early VFX weapon.
Absolutely. This is also why almost all Relics to this point have FATE grinding. You have to bring people to the maps somehow to make them engage with mechanics.
It makes the open world alive (you still have people grinding outside despite Occult Crescent making the grind easier) and I don't see a reason why they should change it. There always another weapon to use if you aren't up to the grind.
While I didn't have that bad luck on the demiatmas (and did them almost entirely outside of OC), I certainly wouldn't be against at least a drop rate increase. I also still feel some sort of adjustment to how they are gained inside of OC would be a good idea. At the very least you should be able to trade in extras you don't want/need for ones you do so that you're not stuck only caring about the few FATEs in a small corner of the map.
