I finally got to meet her and listen to the voice acting yesterday evening. She's good, sounds South American.
I'm surprised people are criticising the voice acting and nobody is mentioning they didn't bother to give her ears with the headscarf, or why Erenville is suddenly from Tural but still has a Scandinavian accent like other Viera and Hrothgar from Eorzea/Dalmasca.
Or how besides Nidhana and Varshahn, most NPCs in Radz didn't sound Indian.
There's a large outcry. Normies just don't use the forums, duh.
Honestly I had no idea about VA being a guy's voice. I just felt the pronunciation and accent quality jumping up and down over the cutscenes.
The only people that made it political are those jumping to defend the person, calling other "phobes" and whatnot. Without that, I would not give a thought to go finding out about genders or anything unrelated to the game's audio.
Baby I will call you anything you want me to, but please do the VA better.
What sad is with the logic some people use, how exactly is a trans person supposed to be a video game character or be in a video game as a voice actor without it being political? It's impossible. A black main character? Political. Woke. A trans voice actor? Political. Woke. Gay? Definitely political and woke. You can't win.
What they really mean when they say "don't make this political" is "I don't want to hear about/see types of people I don't like."
