How is anyone fine with the 4-month patch delivery schedule?

It may seem unlikely due to me posting on the forums, but I actually have a life outside of FF14, and I have plenty of other things I can do in that time.
I'm not simply AFKing in Limsa for four months, counting down the time between patches. 3 months, 4 months, 5 months, doesn't bother me.
6 months would be pushing it a bit though as that's enough time to forget FF14 altogether. That's the x.5-x.0 gap, which always results in a fairly dead game for a little while.

Canceling the subscription is an option, if the game is no longer fun. The only people "forced" into paying are house owners during times with auto-demolition timers currently active.

Because I go outside and touch grass regularly.

Oh no, no new content for a little bit longer.

I swear people are becoming more and more of entitled little shits every year.

10 year ago me would be impressed by a 4 month patch cycle. Back then games that updated with any regularity were rare and you never knew when the next patch was coming.

I love troll posts tbh, but I will also stay on topic.

I love them because I know what I'm getting into. I love them because they allow me to not obsess and live on just this game. I love them because they let me play other games while not feeling like I'm missing out by not playing 14.
