FFXIV 6.0 comes out December 7th. Pre-release is December 3rd

Like most, it's not a big deal that there is a 2-week delay. However, it's hard for me who took 1-week annual leave from work, to play and it's hard to just change it on short notices coming into December. Most companies want to leave recorded for December in advance. So I just feel bad for people who will not be able to change or deal with this from the short notice given by SE. It's unfortunate for those people and there the player I feel sad for right now.

This isn't a bad delay. I'd take a small pushback over release now, fix later that we see from a lot of other games. I do wonder though, what is so minor that they thought it needed such a short delay of only a couple weeks and not a month or more?

Yoshi P and the dev team spent a good bit of time refining the Endwalker experience and leaving no stone unturned. Apparently he wanted no less than perfection. This cut into the QA time which is basically just making sure the game is stable and ready to launch. Everything's ready to go content wise. They are just making sure it all works properly when it goes live at this point.

I might just pretend it's a month delay, although I doubt I can resist temptation for that long.

I can book the week before Christmas off, and where I work closes from Christmas to New Years, so I can really sit down and get into it then if I wait.
They've hyped this to the point where I don't really want to do the MSQ in little couple hour bite sized chunks in the evening after work.

I'm starting to wonder if the reason why there's a delay is because some people aren't able to charge/debit their preorder due to the credit card not working/being rejected from the Square Enix store. At least that what I've been experiencing.
