The GPU is pretty old, yeah. 2007, I think? It's still performing quite well on medium/high settings, so if the drivers didn't start to crash recently, it would still be usable. Totally no money for a new one so I'm praying this one holds out until I can get a new one. I think the 660 GTX isn't enough of an upgrade to be honest, I'd probably go for a Ti if I had the money. Though recently I've been thinking of going AMD the next round.

I am using this one since March/April and I am pretty happy! It's cooling is just <3 (<- I paid 210€ for it, and Mindfactory says the old price was at 227€!)
Max. 50°C while playing FF. But note, that I don't play on Maximum settings.
It was either the 7870 or the 660 (both ASUS), because I thought anything much higher would be 1. too expensive 2. too much for my CPU (Phenom II X4 955 3,2GHz).

There is also this Gigabyte 660 for a decent price ^^

@Coris: turns out it's not my gpu but my cpu. The crashes didn't stop even after replacing my gpu with my brother's , so it's the cpu. I don't get why it passes 4 hours of prime95 without errors when OCd, and all other programs except ffxiv work fine, but the game crashes pretty consistently after about an hour. Returning to default clocks stopped it. So I guess the overclock is not stable enough for ffxiv.

And just when I was finally able to play longer than a few hours, I tab out of fullscreen, tab back and it crashes. (╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻
I thought it was supposed to be fixed with 2.0? Borderless fullscreen is fine, cause it's not exclusive mode, but exclusive fullscreen keeps randomly crashing.

(btw, I really hope they fix the servers cause all this is putting a huge damper on an otherwise very enjoyable game)

Phieuw... Today was the 2nd time that i wasn't able to log in since i got back from the Gamescom. But, it was not that i was bored or anything. I've recently been promoted as "officer" in a Free Company of a good friend of mine. We've been discussing Ranks, rules, promotions etc with the rest of the officers, so i suggested setting up a "Shared Online Google Folder" in which we could create documents and spreadsheets for the company.

While i was at the office today, i started thinking on how to arrange and manage such a "Shared Online Google Folder" and still being able to play tonight. After 40 minutes of trying to log in (to no avail unfortunately) a *lightbulb* suddenly appeared above my head and i thought "Now is a good time to get that folder sorted out!".

4 1/2 hours later... Tada! A shiney shared folder with a "Feedback"-form, a "Words of Praise"-form, a "Report an incident"-form and an example of a "Member Evaluation"-form (all of them automatically save the responses in a seperate spreadsheet).

I never OC'd anything. Too afraid to break it.
Always playing in windowed mode since.. uhm... I think 2008, when I started playing Lineage 2 xD I'm glad that I could adjust the window size to the edges. In 1.0 I wasn't able to do that.

(I do too. All the whining annoys me more than the actual errors ;/ Especially those on the german forums, still asking for compensation. It is hard to read I guess. [One guy even wants his security token to be replaced xD Lol'd at that...])

I finished the WAR Quests yesterday and I have to admit that I struggled with the fight. Wrong combos ._. Well, now I know and it seems wayyy easier and more fun to play this Job!
Don't know yet which Class quests I am doing next but I am also doing the Main Story and Carpenter stuff. Again having a hard time with that HQ bow, meh.
