i dont really mind it. Mostly cause its super rare for SE to make any sort of 'service' armour like this to start off with.
yes like look at Spartacus that is almost pin point accurate men pretty much only wore Subligars and only got helmets and or shields IF they were good and got there Masters alot of money. It was your name if you were a well known Slave/Gladiator you got more if you were a first timer you wore nothing. And exactly the same for woman, cause they veiwed it as the same as a male no chest protection just cause you had breasts men dont get chest protection.
Hey guys, did you know that you can look sexy and/or attractive without reducing yourselves to wearing a simple loincloth? Mind-blowing, I know.
The biggest problem with the game isn't that it lacks "sexy gear". The problem is that all the gear is inherently too damn "heavy" looking what with an overabundance of clunky armors, heavy leather and cloth shirts/gowns. All of that weighs down(no pun intended) on a person's sense of aesthetics.
This is true... would like to keep it that way.
^ Right on~
d(´▽`)
I'd also add that the game just needs better gear designs. The swimsuits are a bit skimpy, but they are swimsuits so at least their form follows their function.
On the other hand, the vast majority of the gear is deathly bland (which is fine for low level stuff), or like Darksteel or Moogle weapons, is OTT goofy-looking -- which ought to be reserved for TRUE endgame (lvl 80+)
The dev's need to fill out the center -- both in level and in style -- which is where the game's aesthetic is generally established.
Although the new starting gear gives me hope.. it's pretty sharp looking~
lol and if people think this stuff is bad dont ever play Dead or alive or its version of EWxtreme beach volleyball
