Yes. Can’t really add any more perspectives or points of view that haven’t been said, beaten down and reiterated in 45 pages here or in a hundred threads in the healer forums. I’ll level healers but I’m not quite sure I want to do any serious content on a role that is the butt of a 10-year old joke.
People do underestimate the disruptive effect this could have.
If a healer unsubs and quits, that's just a -1 to healers in queue. But if a healer chooses to play another role, that's a -1 to the healers in queue AND a +1 to tank/DPS. We're actually going to be lengthening the queues for everyone else, and every healer that chooses to abandon the role will also increase the queues further.
You need to enlist the help of Japanese players. As Square never listen to the other forums. Only the Japanese ones.
This is more like a screaming box so that the bad reputation is contained in one place.
You and others love to say the forum is a miniscule amount of the playerbase. Do we know for sure how many players outside of the forum also are quitting the healer role entirely and are choosing to clog the other role queues while being complete unaware of whats happening here?
We don't, you don't either, so don't try and pretend that everyone outside of the forums is happy.
There was nothing rude in the response. Just a reality check. You don't know what you don't know.
Telling the truth is not being rude.
Healing changes don't bother me as long as Savage/Ultimates and savage crits reflect the tools on hand and availability. I would like another dps tool or two for weave or engagement, but I'd prefer if difficulty and challenge got put into encounter design first and then trickle out to job identity stuff personally.
In their defence, it's a little difficult to judge tone entirely through text, and healer mains are kinda used to concern trolling and smug derision as the first response to any complaints they offer. It's not entirely unfair to assume someone asking a question like that isn't meaning it like 'lmao you actually think this is gonna have an effect' or 'do you seriously think with these numbers you actually matter'. With how tightly policed speech is on the ff14 forums and in game, you see people get really good at being rude without making it obvious.
