It's nice to have geared tank but everyone else is behind. Tonight ADS gave us a third pair of heavy allagan legs and belt which went to our new member who is tank for our soon to be second group. 5 weeks of coil and 2.5 of our tanks have full or majority ilvl 90 drops.

Our healers and dps could use some love too D:

A friend had a Razer lycosa(?) keyboard. The coating on the keys started to come off after half a year, and in a way that looked like the keyboard was rotting <.<

I'm using foobar2000 myself (winamp is dying, switch! :P) and media player never interfered. I actually even disabled access to it via default programs menu. Media keys work fine globally, and when playing videos with MPC-HC they keys control that.

Checked the Sidewinder and to be honest for my likings the F-keys seem too low and small ._. Otherwise it looks kinda decent.
My 510s already arrived today and.. woah! Typing feels nice but backspace, enter and shift make a 'click' noise when you barely press it. Ordered another one to compare and maybe it's not like that with the other one. Hopefully I'll get used to the macrokeys being so close to Esc.

Yes, I do have Steam. Time to log in anytime soon! ^^

I like easy and simple solutions to using computer peripheral devices. I super glued some microdots on various keys to easily recognize hand position. Glowy keyboards are for sissy men.

@Coris: Actually, a keyboard without media keys is not a keyboard for me anymore XD
Also, those small F keys are just fine. I like compactness. One of the reasons why I chose this keyboard is because of semi-flat keys, I can't type on those full-sized keyboards without "stumbling" over keys when moving my fingers. No unnecessary movements = no raising fingers while moving them :P

@Mags: Illuminated keys are not a must, but they come in handy whenever you have to press some less used keys.
German keyboard layout is not really coding-friendly, so having to do the alt_gr+number for {[]}\ is not going to work blind at all times.

Aye xD Sometimes I miss them at work. When I started there back in 2011 they gave me a Cherry G81 so I am used to high keys and a huge keyboard in general.
I typed a little with the G510s and it feels smooth and cannot be compared with the Cherry KB. Only thing I am afraid of is hitting a macro key instead of ESC since they are so close together.
Still tempted to try out the Logitech one and I'll wait for the second one until I think of ordering that CM Storm Devastator.

Typing with one of the G510s right now and uh... yeah smooth and all but I get the wrong keys quite often. Especially when I wanna hit Shift ._. At the moment I couldn't find a huge advantage of this keyboard compared to my old one. Illuminated keys don't count, 'cause there are 'normal' KBs with that feature and since this one is created especially for gaming.
Less than 18 G-Keys might be enough too. Well, maybe I'll try out one of the Corsairs (Corsair Raptor K30)

There is a chance a few things may be dropped from left field. Is there anything you think would be plausible, but highly improbable, that you would really like to see?

I've come to the conclusion that this is the only thread on this forum that isn't absolutely terrible.

So, so much rage at game designers for doing their jobs.

And they did the hell out of it, too. Those patch notes are absolutely massive.

So, since I can't log in during my work week (sat-wed), can someone post screenshots of all new hairstyles when this rolls out, pretty please? :)

Yes. Whilst I don't really know you cool kids, I love this thread. It makes me smile :)

I can't describe how giddy the live letter and the patch notes got me.

Lots of quality of life things like inventory sorting etc are awesome.

SCH has gotten some interesting changes I wasn't expecting.

Lustrate being buffed to a 25% heal is huge, HUGE. And then Banes range being increased is cool(more of a SMN buff, but still.) Substain's cost being shifted to MP rather than HP seems a bit odd. Not like sustain had much use for SCH's though. 1 physic heals for 3 times more than Sustain. So I see this is a SMN debuff really. Virus rotations being blocked is the one big debuff all around the for for mages, Virus rotations were very powerful. Particularly in Turn 4 and 5. It'll be interesting to see how we deal with this in the future, im looking forward to it.

Oh and "The faerie Eos will no longer automatically cast Whispering Dawn when set to Obey." Yeess :D Cooldown management and focusing Eos's heals will be a lot easier now.

Overall really good balance changes to all the jobs. Yes even RoD, and thunder no longer being cross classed.
People gotta remember, its about balance for everything. Increase one jobs utility, damage etc, and you have to re-balance the others so as to not break the equilibrium. Think about it, Rain of death(-10%), Virus(-15%), Sacred Soil(-10%) AND the new WAR buff to Storms Path(another 10%) Thats 45% of a mobs damage. No way was that gonna fly haha.

I accept all changes with open arms.

I could make this a very LONG post about all the awesome things I found in the notes but i'll keep it to those. XD

I've gotta say, I'm a 2.0 player and *I'm* feeling that the Goobbue mount is unfair for Legacy players. You guys have the right to having exclusive things like that. You supported then game when others didn't want to touch it. (Although I would have played 1.0 if it weren't for.... PS3 limitations..... /cry)

And the housing thing. 40 mill for the cheepest of the cheep! That is pretty high, but at the same time, that's about where I was expecting housing to be anyway. When they first announced the 4 mill for a cheep house in the live letter I thought to myself, "Isn't that a little on the low side?" Sure many of us will still be homeless for a while but the amount of gil that's floating around on my sever (Masamune Pride!!) is a little bit crazy at the moment anyway.

Actually all 1.0 players who played then could have it.

With us it is 20mil for the cheapest in the last row, but I don't know how we will ever be able to afford it. On the other hand, these houses are pretty small and 10 players in there at the same time? Going to need some air then @.@

I'm utterly frustrated with the housing prices. I shall not go further as to not ruin this beautiful thread with my lala rage but I've been looking forward to FC housing for over a year. I will never have one with the current prices. *throws self off a cliff*

Can we please not contaminate this thread? We've managed to keep a pretty good barrier up against the rest of this forum's toxicity so far. If anyone wants to whine about things, there are hundreds of other threads to choose from.

I feel you. A few members of my company (including myself) have been putting forth a valiant effort to fund a house for the lot of us, but we arent even close. Can't say that I'm not disappointed. It does give us an actual goal, however.

In the plus side, I am totally pumped over achievement changes. I got like 3-4 thousand battle and trade leves done, and a while lot of supply and provisioning for GC, so I'm gonna get a lot if new points in 2.1

Aside from the change to rain of death and house prices, I'm pretty excited about this patch. A lot of cool stuff including exp buffs for leve quests and dungeons
