He's probably the prince of Ala Mhigo, knowing SE's love of easily foreseeable twists. That or Nanamo's brother, making him the possible Sultan in the future.

I would say in regards to the obvious bloopers like the cooking quest that they'll do one of 3 things later on.
1) leave it as it is stating everything quest wise including and up to lvl50 is considered pre 2.55.
2) They recon it to correct for the changes.
3) They add a quest fork so that if your before the final 2.55 campaign when you start them quests you get the current quest chain or if your on the heavensward msq onwards you get a new alternate quest chain with the same rewards but different events.
It's a possibility, but I'm thinking ordered translates to Yugiri and co having a few choice words with them while holding a blade to their throats. Or he was in of the crowd when the WoL and Hoary Boulder (was it?) sparred on the plains just outside Mor Dhona, and doesn't relish the thought of us wiping the floor with him in a similar fashion.
There may already be some supporting lore. Could be nothing, could be really important.

Is Momodi involved as she asks you to hold on to the poison, or is it she is just worried of you being late to the celebration
No, I doubt Momodi was involved, I think it was more along the lines of "Yuck! You picked up a dirty half empty vial at a train station?! What's wrong with you?! I don't want that you keep it!" then "Heh heh heh, why don't you hold onto it...for now...heh heh heh."
I'm still curious about how Alisaie knew what was going down in Ul'Dah. How did she know to get the traveling merchant to Alphinaud in order to rescue him?
Best guess is that Alisaie was keeping tabs on Alphinaud much like he was for her during the Coil story arc, however I would've liked to see that in cut scenes through out the story, just like we saw Alphinaud spying on Alisaie; but I'm assuming thats how they knew, also Alisaie works with Urianger on the regular, so there is a good chance that they spoke about it.
