I think the problem has been fixed now, because I have not had the horrible delay and lag for a few days now! Unless I've just been lucky...

3 days without needing to use VPN so far!! :)

pretty sure u guys its not throttling because in NA here, cox communication i torrent tons of stuff no spikes but I lag the shit ton in ff14 now. Did not experience this lag until the "server expansion".

Exact same thing for me, it's definitely on SE's side.

While the unacceptable lag has gone, had a couple of stable weeks but now whats appearing is lag spikes so frequent you can set your watches by it. Its best illustrated when you run along side someone. They stop for a second, then catch up, you stop, they go ahead, you catch up.....its not that noticeable until your in endgame. Im wondering if this is somehow server side?

No it didn't. When it takes 4 or 5 times longer than normal to craft something (no lag compensation for crafting/gathering), when it react to skills seconds later most of the time, when it does not react to skills after ten of seconds to finally disconnect you when you're about to make an HQ, when you reconnect and see you lost all your ingredients, this is definitely not acceptable.
