Kicking a healer who doesn't DPS is considered kicking due to difference in play style, which has been confirmed to be a valid reason to kick someone.

This of course does not extend to any kind of harassment or mentioning of parsers during the process. However, if the person initiating the vote kick remains civil and avoids mentioning parsers, the healer would not have any sort of case against them. Even if they were asked how they know the healer was doing no DPS, they can just say they did not see an offensive skill from the healer in the in game battle log. So unless someone harasses the healer, they won't be punished for kicking the healer for not DPS'ing.

Technically, you can't name different play style; it's kind of weird. Someone posted a picture of a GM ticket reply saying it was okay to kick due to difference in play style even though there is no option to categorize it as so. They really should add it in.

In regular content? No. Most just roll their eyes. What I do see more common though is co-healers who will not drop Cleric unless absolutely necessary (and even then) if the other healer refuses to DPS. Where this does become a much larger issue is Savage. Even now, groups at the midcore level and above often won't take heal only healers. This change effectively guarantees you will have to adapt to being a hybrid job if you want to attempt Savage outside pugs. Honestly, I think even pugs will start demanding it. Keep in mind, at least one person will have ACT running. They don't need to tell you why they're kicking... but if a healer is ever silently booted. That's likely why.

Actually... Ring of Thorns can be quite useful, albeit more situational. When the tank hasn't gathered everything up in a line or adds spawn more spread out, Thorns is the better option when proc'd because you're more likely to clip everything.

Perhaps. Granted, in that case, the new healers won't put up with them. DPS oriented healers have very little tolerance for damage dealers being stupid since it cuts into their DPS time. :p

I have very small tolerance for everyone taking more damage than they should have. It's not because of my DPS, it's because of a smoother and faster run as well. Honestly when something is on farm or just as easy as a dungeon, things should go smooth and fast. I have no idea why would still love to do those 30+ min dungeons after 2 months of expert roulette of the very same dungeons....

Oh, I am the same way. I even have a set rule where I'll stop raising people if thee die three times to silly things. At that point, they're just a waste to my MP. I've just noticed more cautious or heal only healers seem drone to cover for other people's dumb mistaken. Like a Dun Scaith run I had the other night where a Monk either died or would get every vulnerability stack he could. After getting five for the third time, I flat out stopped healing him. The other healer kept getting him (four times I think? And that was just one fight. He died... a lot.) But yeah, I'll never understand why people like taking it slow after the dungeon's been out several months.
