I don't want the DPS to be wasting their time switching target to the tank for Eye for an Eye when they could be doing DPS, and especially when two healers are fully capable of casting it. Virus and Mantra are a lot more useful for a DPS to use in combat cause they don't have to switch targets.Quote:

You can just use an E4E <tt> or <mo> macro if you're a DPS. Same with Apocatastasis, Resurrection, Goad, whatever, you never actually have to lose your target when using support.

Theres a ton of confusion in this thread and a ton of REALLY good points from a lot of people on both sides.
VIT is a cushion. Where is that cushion good? In content that the tank is either undergeared for or unexperienced with. New raids. Low level dungeons and huge trash pulls
A healer is going to do a HELL of a lot more DPS on a big trash pull than you're ever going to hope to achieve spamming your skills
STR is the BEST for single target/boss content. (Unless the tank is undergeared/inexprienced then refer to the above)
If you manage your cooldowns properly, combined with your mitigation you're going to take your party further with that added DPS and threat generation
I actually wear my VIT during trash pulls and then swap to STR when we get to the boss.
Again there is no cookie cutter perfect loadout for your tank. The jobs playstyle is situational and responsive and so is the gear -
