i know the japneese love their complexity, so idk if they'll take it well (trying not to be stero typical rather based on jap games compaired to western games), but the rest of the world is prob 50/50

At first I was upset by this change. I enjoyed the complexity of the crafting system as it was, like many people here. However, after some time to think, I believe this is a solid step forward for the game as a whole. It was an unnecessarily complicated system, and this merely streamlines the amount of steps needed for a finished product.
I trust Yoshi's team to change this system for the better, and I will most certainly be waiting for the actual patch notes before I go around screaming bloody murder.
Anyone with an ounce of common sense should understand that this change is for the better of the game, it doesn't matter if it may not be what you personally wished it to be. Fact of the matter is, the general population have enough headaches and drudgery in real life.
People don't want to log on the game and jump through hoops and red tape to make gear (especially low level gear).
I love the new vision for crafting, I just hope that it doesn't swing too far in one direction.
Crafting might actually be tolerable now.
Thank you for setting those of us who actually craft straight and letting us know we have no common sense. Naturally your vast experience with 9 levels of culinary apprenticeship have given you far better insight into what is best for the crafting system. I bow to your wisdom.
And anyone with an ounce of common sense knows people like different things. :)
An as proven by many posts in the thread A lot of people enjoy the current system, But very few have said it doesn't need work and support a lot of the post just not all..
The crafting will still be the same, just different items, with less diversity in it.
To the people who think that gear costs are too much, and this will fix the problem. What are you smoking? By removing so many things in the game, all you are doing is INCREASING the amount of money people have available to spend on the existing items. This will not drive prices down. What it will do is drive prices up by making the most basic materials required for all items BECAUSE they are not ALSO decreasing the amount of gil in the game.
you can't really use "the general population" more "my view" if it was the the general population there wouldn't be so many posts against it, i'm not atacking you just mearly point out you use "the general population" with as many facts an figures as the rest of us.
