both actually. Because I ordered 1 PS3 collectors and 1 standard PC version and got 2 of these cards from the exact same pool of cards

So, the EB guys said the codes all come from the exact same pool... meaning I should be able to register them to my pre existing account right? (one is collectors and one is standard edition)

There was all that fuss about needing to pre order standard if you wanted to register on a 1.0 account? Maybe they have another set of pre order code in the collectors box and that is what they meant?

Clarification for a confused kitteh anyone?

Hmmm... I don't know. I always asked in favour of the CE codes, because I care a bit more 'bout them as the pre-order ones :S

Yesterday our LS was hanging around in TS3 all bored. "Meeeh, I dunno what to do. I wanna play XIV now~!" No other game was interesting enough. Can't wait for test 2 which hopefully is held on the upcoming weekend! Want to try out different skin colours for Coris :S (The one that was imported seemed to be too light for me.)

Checked the preorder FAQ!
You'll get the preorder items, no matter which code you use. It is only the Windows CE-Item code that you can't add to an existing Windows-service account. The pre-order code(s) will work. If you use a PS3 CE code and type it in on your console, then you can choose if you wan't to add it to an existing FFXIV- service account.

P.S.: All your characters on the same service account will receive the pre-order items! ^^

Hey thanks so much Coris! Since I am getting an automatic upgrade to CE I don't have to worry about that then.
Since when the information came out there were so many questions and rumors, so I did not want to pay it any mind till the confusion was sorted out XD... that is why I am late in asking hehe.

I think most of the imported colours ended up being lighter, even I darkened my colours a little to make them look exactly as 1.0

Ok, that does it. Revisiting my local EB to see if the message has filtered through to them, because last time I asked they told me these sorts of things didn't get handed out until pickup day.
