Because...sir...those are different forms of airships...and the cars and spaceship are from the titles that had a high technology/futuristic setting...I'm all for change...but change consistant with the product at hand...gobbue's as mounts just doesn't fit in...maybe some other type of domesticated mob that can be used as opposed to one we kill/camp/hunt...but thats just my opinion.

I just look at this as just a really silly gift for sticking around during pay-2-play. I don't expect this mount to be obtainable after a certain point.

You guys don't have to take these things so seriously all the time. Don't forget that we're playing a video game.

Not keen on them at all. As it stands our mounts can be slowed and we can be knocked of them by aggroing mobs. It's just going to seem utterly stupid when a wolf or something can do the same to us on a giant walking rock. I don't have a problem with new mounts but think this one is a bad choice.

Are you actually giving examples of how the game dynamics would take away from the reality of the concept of riding one as a mount?

actually Goobbues are plantoids, not made of stone. Its more like a giant root so they can be harmed by teeth and claws.
At least thats their classification in FFXI and i doubt it changed for FFXIV since they are basically the same
