Agreed. If they added Viera and it was the inverse of Au Ra, I might have to consider race-changing.

Yep, I have one fantasia on my retainer waiting to be used just in case viera ever do come out.

So I said I'd try drawing a landscape of what viera's homeland may look like in ffxiv, but I think I bit off more than I can chew. lol
Initially I wanted to draw something underground, but when thinking about what kind of area I would want to hang out and chill at, I thought I'd prefer a place where I could see the sky. With the addition of swimming in 4.0, I kinda wanted to draw this new city with the ability to swim in mind. So, if I ever finish this drawing, it will probably be heavily influenced by Venice.
I think I'll set the landscape drawing aside for a little bit and come back to it later. I am kind of interested in drawing a male viera, so I might do that later.

As a fan of FFTA and FFXI I support this thread. +1 for support

Never got a chance to play FFTA, but always wanted to try it. I like how viera are sort of a reoccurring race.

Viera aren't exactly "recurring", FFXII and FF tactics (A and A2) are all set in the same world. Under that logic the Hyperllo (weird blue jar jar binks thing that drives the shoopuff in FFX and X-2) would be a recurring race.

My line of thinking is they are separate games that take place in the same world, which is why I said reoccurring. Meaning it's not a race that repeatedly shows up in final fantasy titles, but simply happened to show up again.
