So... that spiderman shirt... (new job tease)

Could it be at all possible we may see a merging of classic jobs? Something like a BLU+SAM (FFT Samurai Drawout Skills or FFVII Soldier), BLU+DNC (FFX-2 GunMage)?

Ah I understand what you were getting at now. I think it could be BLU. Especially since there are rumored to be only 2 jobs in Stormblood. Puppet Master and Samurai just seem a lot easier to implement than a Blue Mage. There would be no reason to not have 3 jobs unless there is a time and resource issue. And I think Blue Mage might be taking up that time with the creation of numerous Blue Magic spells on monsters, players, and implementing a way that players acquire them.

If you look at the new Spider-Man movie coming out in 2017 its called Homecoming..which is a dance shown in the movie trailer as well as the title.

I am still sticking with Dancer lol.

I think merging some jobs would be a neat idea but would possibly piss a lot of people off who just want a pure Samurai or pure Blue Mage lol

Well Yoshida doesn't really want to do either ofd Puppetmaster or Blue Mage so it's a moot point. But people really do connect puppets with strings in their minds so spider webber could still mean puppet master. My problem with Blue Mage now is that we already have a DPS caster with Red Mage. And we might not get more than two jobs.

Don't think so. Yoshie-P wants to do classic jobs. Especially now with the 30th anniversary of the series.

That would make it a lot less direct than previuous hints, but I wouldn't mind a dancer. Especially if itd nothing like the monk in the trailer. Let's make it an evasion tank and turn Samurai into a healer.

Well in the end players will still get pissed off, acconrding to the tweet they erased there is only 2 new jobs.
We already have RED meaning just 1 to go so either DNC, BLU or SAM team will be served, the others will be disapointed and will see countless threads saying the new jobs suck and their favorite would have been better ^^"

All theories have basically been said. The only 3 plausible for me are.

- Sam Raimi theory = Samurai (I honestly doubt it with the hint yoshi-p dropped in an interview of spiderman having different directors)
- Bitten by a spider, gain spider powers = Blue mage (most plausible even if I hope it isn't)
- Spiderman agility = Dancer (The one that I'll hope it will be, but have my doubts about. Even though it's plausible in my opinion)
- Web strings = Puppetmaster (Seems unlikely, considering there are better marvel heroes to hint that)

Personally, I hope that they make some kind of Dancer / Blue mage hybrid class. Satisfy both crowds. And the dancer/blue mage garment always had something of an arabian belly dancer. Not to mention that Blu/Dnc in ffxi used to be a common thing.
