Keep getting error 90002 myself in battlegrounds and Palace of the Dead.
It's just impossible for me to play both of these and they are actually some of the fastest ways to level up...it's really painful to get booted from Cactuar every 3 minutes cause of it.

The problem persists almost 24 hours later.
Still can't progress the Omega quest line.
I have tried other instances, DF and GH to be frozen leading to my inability to play at all.
The only thing I have done is gather and craft but there is a limit to how much you can/need to do when you can't do much else in the game.
It's like they don't even want peoples business!
I appreciate that it is an American holiday but for a worldwide service they have fallen far short of the mark for good customer service.
These DDoS measures may be the root cause but it also must be said that multiple accounts logging in for a new release/returning players/routine players logging in for new content is to be expected.
Multiple legitimate logins also look like a DDoS 'attack' so in effect are they just punishing/restricting the player base for wanting to play the game they subscribe to and have purchased

Almost 24hrs later. Still stuck in south shroud. Unable to do anything. Getting red balled right after I log in and then 90k after couple minutes. I ended up filling a report on the bug forum. =/ but reading so many ppl having issues and nothing has been adressed still. Im just so damn tired of it. Its playtime no one will pay us back.

I've been having the same 90002 problems when zoning, questing, doing dungeons etc since the maintenance yesterday. Connecting from Sweden to Aether data center in NA.
As someone suggested i've also tried using a VPN connecting through New York and the connection seems to be stable now. So there's obviously something funky with the connection between NA and EU.

A temporary workaround is using a VPN of sorts, or a service like WTFast or Mudfish, since there is clearly a issue from a server between Datacenter and EU.

24h and nothing was done to fix the problem. Not even a reply from the ticket i submitted yesterday morning

Playing on Ultros, still getting this error now, can't log in for more than 5 seconds before connection is lost.

Playing on Excalibur (Primal data center) living in Sweden and I'm having constant 90002 each time the game is starting to send too many tcp packages?
The funny part is that my wifes computer is next to me and she has no problems no same server...
I have tried to reinstall the game and move it to my SSD hard drive with no change on this constant 90002...

Ok posting again maybe someone (beside senpai) finally notice us.
EU player on NA server cactuar. Still stuck in Quarrymill since yesterday. Getting disconnection symbol while im still in the log in screen. Unable to do pretty much anything. I can walk around but either talk/sprint/mount/teleport/zone out etc. Not able to type in chat. I get the system messages like someones chocobo withdraws from battle.
My friends say for them I'm just standing there dc'ing.
It automatically 90k me after maximum of 5 mins or when I try to walk to another zone.

Now my 2 alts and a new char I made earlier are also bugged in the same fashion, all after playing for about an hour on each. Wasn't even questing or entering any instances, nor changing zones or entering combat... Like wtf did they do to lock out all non NA/Canadian players from NA data centers? It's meme worthy at this point and not an acceptable service by any means.
