Waiting a minute between each feeding seems to give the "grow new feathers" message. Spamming food consecutively did not. Not sure if it means anything, either way.

I fed it 32 Xelphatol Apples, 22 O'Ghomoro Berries, and 15 Mamook Pears in random orders. I started with 7 apples, 10 berries, then 8 pears. After we discussed the colors and how they could end up, I realized I probably screwed up somewhere and added another 25 apples, 12 berries, and 7 pears to shoot for white (since I was originally gunning for black).

Feeding without any break does give the "Grow new feathers" message too. At least for me, when I was giving him apples

Fed my bird 10 berries and saw the message 7 times. Gonna check back and see what shade of blue it falls on in 6 hours.

I fed it about x20 O'Ghomoro Berries "deepen blue", x20 Mamook Pear "deepen green", x15 Doman Plum "lighten red".
I honestly dont remember how many x of each i did feed, but atleast those amount. Hope it will give some help.

Oh God, I'm afraid of dont get the collor. On the list tell that i have to use "O'Ghomoro Berry x13, Mamook Pear x10, Valfruit x1, Doman Plum x5" So i just buy one Mamook Seed (what give 18 fruits).

maybe the grow new feathers means you fed it enough to warrant a change, like some said they saw no change even they fed some
