About the EU campaign for maid outfit and fat chocobo

Due to the number of issues the EU campaigns had last round, will you all be including the previous items again this time as you did for Japan (who I don't think had issues at all), but did not do for the NA campaign?

Thank you for the info~ It's awesome to hear that the items will be moved to the Mog Station, I think that is a great solution for even people who have extraordinary location/account circumstances!

On an aside, will NA/EU get a second opportunity at the Maid/Butler items like the recent Japanese campaign did? They have the A and B course for a total of 48 points if I read the page right (google-fu lol).

If not, please consider to make the campaigns as similar as possible in the future (item rewards at least) - we all share the same game space~

Really hate to nit-pick but You only mention the new campaign and the new in-game items. What about the ones from last year, like the fat chocobo and butler/maid outfits? Will those be re-introduced to us in the EU through a campaign, or do we have to wait for Mogstation?

Thank you so much for the update. Please consider announcing the offers for all regions before everyone is whizzing around happily enjoying their rewards in the preferred regions next time (then we might not make 157-page moan threads wondering why we are always late to the party!)

Good to hear that a backup plan (Mog Station) is also in place for those who simply cannot participate at all. In future, it would be wonderful if you could simply make the actual codes region-free like the physical item add-on codes. It saves so much heartache for people outside the main regions.

Good to know it will be at least available via the Mog Station one day, in case the campaign is another failure like last time. But I do hope the campaign will be more successful this time though :)

Please, please, PLEASE! Don't do the EU one as magazines again, we have Amazon too, it would be nice to have something similar to the NA one. Buy something, get the items, rather than buying 3 useless magazines across 3 months and not being guaranteed all items because no where has the magazines available lol.

I just wanted to say THANK YOU for this. I wasn't able to claim my white fat chocobo last time due to slow response by the company contracted; they didn't send me a code until after the redemption deadline. Knowing the new in-game items will be available later by Mog Station if I happen to encounter a similar problem makes me feel much better.

Not trying to be a downer and that could absolutely what Lakukisu meant but they did say "new in-game items" which sort of makes the other campaign "old in-game items". Personally would prefer if they run another campaign for the old items, first, like they did for the Japanese, before putting it into the cash shop (but of course in the end, put it in the cash shop).

In the current Japanese campaign you can earn the old and new items - so any Japanese that missed out get a second chance while at this moment the NA (I assume EU too) side only gets the new ones with no second chance. To note if you want both the A and B route (B being the old items) in the current Japanese campaign you do need to buy more (48 points total instead of 24 - still I like buying something else and getting an item rather than just buying a digital item lol.. so I'd love to see 2x Amazon campaigns for NA :3).

Only stating this so just in case what they meant is what I read (new = route A items) that no one is blindsided because they heard somewhere on the forums it was both routes onto the mog shop.

Assuming this refers to the Cloud mount we all just spent 5 minutes shouting in Idllyshire chat about as well as the Butler/Maid outfits (which I just managed to catch on the tail end of that campaign by pure chance), a million times thank you for the information from a worried EU subscriber.

Huge relief, even if I'm stuck throwing money at that gaming mag again; I'm bound to find another wobbly coffee table needing a leg supporting to make it level somewhere about the place :)

I had that thought too, especially considering items like the recently added moogle outfit: while the Fanfest one was account wide, the Mogstation one is per character.
So I would assume it'll be the same for the promo stuff, otherwise people will just wait for the Mogstation and not do the promotions. It would be nice to have a clarification about this.
That said, imo this solution is still better than nothing.

Not everything is per character - the moogle "balloon" mount for instance is account wide (yo moogle so fat he's account-wide!! Ahahahahh... >_>)

Well I am happy that we finally have an answer so thanks for posting.

But at the same time I remain skeptic about the whole thing, especially since we dont even know how much "later" is. ^^; Also if its possible to put those into the mog station I do kinda wonder why this was not done with the old promotion but I may keep up the hope that those will be put into the mog station too.

I realy hope they think hard about the price for these items, because selling the mount alone for 15-20 euro like the other mounts, will mean that those that did not get them the first time will have to pay alot more for the whole package, which is Bullshit to be honest.

The question is, when they go on sale on the mogStation will they be character locked or account based? In all fairness to our EU and other friends who were unable to participate in the US and JP promotions, all the items we received were account based, not character locked. If the ones put in the MogStation are character locked it would be a real finger in the face to EU players.

Seriously, I would like an answer to this question lakukisu, Why are non-consumable items on the mogStation now character rather than account locked? The switch from Account based items to character based ones has prevented a lot of players from purchasing MogStation items because they are simply a terrible deal - especially for players who already pay out more on a monthly basis to have more alt characters.

The maid and Butler outfits and other items from last year's promotion were account based, will they also be account based when the appear in in the Mogstation? They should be, but then again so should all non-consumable items such as outfits, mounts, minions, hairstyles and emotes. Why aren't they?

My opinion about this: This is horrible..we need to buy 24 cans of Dr. Pepper soda to get the codes, which will make this more expensive than the NA promotion. Also you have to buy so many soft drinks. It seems that SE really cares about our health >_>..at least in Japan you could buy water bottles. Really disappointed by that and I wont take part in this promotion. Really who creates these campaigns? ._.

I will wait for the mog station items and if they dont come to German, well then thats bad for me. But I wont throw out my money for something that is so unhealthy and useless for me.

I recommend that people actually go for this if it happens. I got my maid/butler from the France amazon promotion. Though I'm not french nor do I live there but I thought it was my only and last hope of getting them, and I was right.

So go for this if you can.

It remains to be seen what, if any, promotions the rest of Europe will get.
I kind of prefer the Dr Pepper promotion to the shady magazine deal we got last time but I'm in no hurry to go and buy 24 cans of a drink I don't care for either.
The promotion, or at least the associated raffle, seems to be running until 15.09. so I'll wait for a bit and see what alternatives crop up.
If France gets an Amazon promotion again I'll probably take advantage of that instead, any European promotion should work for EU Service Accounts, right?

I am not even sure if someone outside of Germany can even take part in this. If I read this right you need to buy the cans that have moogles on them, which means that you probably have to buy them in a supermarket. If this is German only you would need to visit a German supermarket for that.

Also even if some kind of shop sells this near me (I have never seen this) I will not buy it. Simply as a small "protest" and also because its not worth it. At least with the Gamestop deal I got a game that I like. With that I would have to buy 24 (!) cans of soda..which I probably wont even drink. (I cant even use it to water plants or stuff :'D)

I just keep up the hope that everyone will get the chance to buy this from the cash shop.

(I would not have so much problems with this campaign if it was water or at least a variation of different kind of drinks. But I barely drink soda like stuff and I definitely wont drink so much.)

Still beats a magazine promotion though it remains to be seen what they will do for the rest of europe.

Well the German campaign starts today so can we have some information about this on the official Lodestone? I mean Dr. Pepper had the information for quite some days now so it would be nice to get some infos on this here too. Especially if this is truly Germany only or maybe if more countries will have that.

I hope the Australian campaign is with Hanabee again :D, so easy to get FFXIV loot. Buy anime and enter the code :O!
