Glad I'm not the only person who thought that! I thought their relationship was... creepy.

I just want to put out there that I was playing FFIX with a friend who has never played a FF game before (though he does like the RPG genre quite a bit). When I was showing him some of the summons, when we got to Shiva he said "Oh Shiva, I assume she is the fire elemental summon?"

So lets keep in mind that while there is something to be said for "Classic FF Shiva", "Classic FF Shiva" is, in fact, kind of really messed up. (Not to mention Shiva is male).

I'd understand someone saying something weird like "moon element" before saying fire.. .. Like you just blew my mind lol

(Shiva is male in Hindu source, but obviously FF Shiva isnt male)

We hadn't actually watched the summon yet, just seen the name. Shiva is often linked closely with the element of fire (though not always directly).

I was really shocked someone would say fire after seeing her like that.

The Moogle King looks like a Boss? hehe He's basically a scaled up Teddy bear with wings and a crown!

Oversized compared to others of its kind? Check.
Altered voice to sound more imposing? Check.

The Sahagin's primal is Leviathan.

We haven't seen Shiva's beastmen race yet, but hints have been dropped that it's a race of large creatures from the northlands.

It'll be big, hulking, ugly as sin Gigas'!
